If the company starts to have a few bad trimesters, the shareholders demand that it generate value, and then it starts to cannibalise the company. It sells assets to make money; it closes branches to save money (assuming they don't straight-up lie and make up money), and once you start this, it's a matter of time before the company goes bankrupt to save the shareholders.
I got a Vietnamese steel coffee filter for just as much money. I can relax with a great low-effort single-serve coffee at home without the hassle of sharing a city commute with shrinkhead jeets and musul desert rats.Starbucks is for losers.

They could not refuse temptation so this acts as an inverted virtue where they think they are "good" and "smart" for petty thrift, a lifetime of which only amounts to a small sum, a low six digit sum at best, which won't matter anyways when they are 60 and senile. The most greedy and avericious people lecture about nothing money and expenses. Generous people never say no and will be wasteful because they see the bigger picture which is to get more money and not waste brain power making economizing decisions to rationalize being miserable.
