Why don't we have polymaths in modern society anymore? How come the likes of Descartes, Newton, Da Vinci, etc... have become an extinct species?

Did modern technological revolution set us back a thousand years?
>>
>>534965969
You’re not one?
>>
>>534965969
jews own science and the universities that house the tech. great men aren't allowed any more. people might follow them
>>
>>534965969
because of compartmentalization.
>>
>>534965969
We do, they're just insulted as autistic schizos and gatekept from academia

Majority of these smart people were born into nobility weren't they? They could sit at home all day and study.

People today are too busy slaving for Mr Shekelstein and there are way more distractions now.

1) There's too much knowledge so knowing everything is prohibitive
2) Schooling never advanced beyond just basically being a reskinned version of a priests seminary so memorization and essays became the primary form of learning. Do it enough and the entire population just becomes midwits.

Because the aristocracy is dead and almost everyone has to work. There are no brilliant young people with the time and inclination to be great thinkers, because they all have to work at Amazon or Starbucks.
>>
Our civilization is too technical. A classical education or compendium of knowledge (logic, mathematics, philosophy, music theory, etc.) is insufficient for achievement in any particular field, all of which have become fiddled with minutiae and obsession with technique.
>>
We live in a system that incentivizes wealth accumulation. Why would anyone waste their time thinking about things when they could be making money?

Modern career specialization
>I need a mechanical engineer AND a 19th century historian
I mean sure sometimes you need someone like this for antique firearms but then you usually hire two people and then they work together.
The age of the polymath was the age of the patron system of science where someone rich just hired scientists to research things and make discoveries, for the patron to show off. Before fleets of yachts were in fashion, rich people showed off by advancing scientific theories. Usually the patron and scientist were friends too. But with freedom and funding these scientists often branched out.
Then there was also the "gentleman and scholar" era where wealthy nobility saw it as their duty to study when they weren't compelled to work since they were landed wealth. Those types also pushed knowledge quite a bit.
I know a lot of different things but it's all frankly pretty amateur. The less profitable it is, the better I generally am at it. Why? I have enough money and lots of spare time. I buy books, read books.
>what's a "plurician?"
Nowadays there's opposing opinions for this stagnation crisis. The total lack of inter-disciplinarians is one idea. Technology is another, see picture.

If you "have to work" in today's era you're a double digit IQ retard. Literal niggers on welfare are smarter than you

They were all puppets, like Musk for example. All the important knowledge, discoveries and technologies are being released through these puppets by the occulted powers.

jews have hijacked everything and poisoned the well.
jewish "Education", jewish media, jewish movies, jewish newspapers, jewish news outlets, jewish CEOs, jews in charge of banking, jewish landlords, jewish slumlords, jewish rentseeking, jewish lawyers, jewish judges, jewish jewdicial system, jews invading the Christian churches, jewish "Doctors," jewish goyslop, jewish poisons, dyes and additives in food, jewish pornography, jewish social media, jewish "Dating applications," jewish music industry, jewish "Fashion," jewish propaganda, PR/public relations and advertising, jewish harvests/wars, jewish CEOs like Borla of Pfizer who are horse doctors and not medical doctors for humans making jewish vaccines, jewish Big Tech, extreme jewish overrepresentation in government, the jewish Federal Reserve and jewish talmudism and jewish kabbalah in general.

I think he's right.
The hard sciences probably are highly monitored by global corporate interests. They aren't going to be keen on any tech that might rock the boat too much.
The soft sciences and humanities are absolutely Jewish and censored. Anthropology starts day 1 by establishing that all races are equal, and any differences in culture are strictly environmental if not practically random outcomes.
Throw in the fact that academia, is more about fellating the egos of kikes that never graduated from attending school and instead made it a career, than it is about actually advancing understanding.
If a modern Newton or Da Vinci walked onto a modern campus, he better make Professor Shekelbitch the half black trans man, feel very important about herself because that is what truly matters.
>>
>>534966736
OK but none of those things have anything to do with any real art or science. Every book ever made is on the internet for free and jews cant do shit about it
>>
>>534966309
>almost everyone has to work
Plenty people are born rich and never have to work a day in their lives.
Rich kids just aren't interested in science.
>>
>>534966860
Whole crops of humans have been lost in the west for 3,4 possibly fiver generations due to hijacking women and the schools first. Also the Scofield bible, starting the dispensationalism - another jewish trick.
One has to hand the God damned jews something - they know how to subvert. They got into the west by the late 1800s and its barely 140 years of jewish infection and 95% of the people cant think for shit.

There's people wealthy enough to not work but it's against the American way of life to do such a thing. They say it's bad for your children's legacy or whatever. People retire for like 30+ years now but when they do they don't exactly attack research. People find things to fill their time and normal people will do normal things.
>gee I have a lot of time today I'm going to study some odd history or biography or science text
Normal people don't fucking do this. They might pick up a Bible to get right with God before they die and I could ramble about that.
>>
>>534965969
The mode of production specialized, and demands more specialized knowledge workers. Also, as the depth of knowledge and discovery increases, the breadth thins out. Back then it was easier to invent whole field or make discoveries, because less was already known.

There's another problem. Researchers hire academics. What's a modern academic? A cheater. The typical student just fucking cheats and it's normalized. It lowers academic standards sure but research and industry is downstream of academia. When academia is full of cheaters, research and development becomes full of cheaters, and then you have multinational corporations full of dodgy shit research.

>Live in capitalist system
>Need capital
>Born with zero
>Lol why do you need to work loser?

Fuck off.
>>
>>534966309
DaVinci made a living through painting. The issue is not “having to work” but rather not having demand for that type of work. The way that you think is too small & present-focused.

Gary Taubes exposed this a long time ago in Good Calories, Bad Calories

>People today are too busy slaving for Mr Shekelstein
oh, the fucking irony! Who do you think those smart people were, if not Mr Shekelsteins of the day? Who do you think afforded them all the leisure time to peruse their interests?

Everything worth knowing has already been written down thousands of years ago. Jews can't do shit but misdirect away from the truth and seethe
>>534967202
Didn't you hear what the other guy said? Amazon and Starbucks are hiring. Wage for a few months and then you have capital. What are you going to do with it? Hint: don't invest in the funko pops
>>
>>534965969
We do but Jewish credentialing has guaranteed they are never allowed to develop science, especially if it harms jewish profits.
>>
>>534967494
>DaVinci made a living through painting
Not really. Only about 15–20 paintings are attributed to him, many of which were left unfinished. He often described himself as an engineer, architect, and designer, and he frequently struggled financially due to his perfectionism, procrastination, and habit of leaving works unfinished.
>>
>>534967656
You think Starbucks wage will leave enough to meaningfully invest.

Tell me you're a boomer without telling me you're a boomer.

fields have become too specialized. in math you can easily have two phds who dont understand eachothers work at all afaik

basically all the low hanging fruit is gone now

This reminds me, I actually found a couple of extant errors in Descartes' Algebra. No one cares, but I found them.

Literally me. Not really interested in "advancing" the jewish digital plantation agenda in any meaningful way, though. Better to not row or even row backwards if heading is wrong, etc.

actually we do have polymaths check his work history

We do, just no one cares. Bruce Dickinson is a good example, many more.

Health and psychology research are absolutely comical in how easy it is to manipulate data. Change a few parameters slightly and your results go from meaningless to significant.
>fat is bad fat is good certain fats not all fats carbs are bad carbs are good cholesterol is bad cholesterol is good not all etc. etc. etc.
Everything down to chocolate and red wine.

the burden of knowledge back then was like 5 books in each subject.
It was geometry and blacksmiths now its higher-dimensional symplectic topology and thin-film epitaxy specialist.
things get complex overtime, you need multiple lifetimes to get good at several fields at their current states.
