You're confusing me anon, what do these have to do with anything? I take no personal shame in the horrors my people have inflicted upon the world in the past, but why distance yourself from them? I do "hate" some of these things and have an axe to grind with some of that stuff, it's not personal, but I am connected to it, make no mistake. That's just part of being an american. The trail of tears, for instance, that shit sucks. I sympathize greatly with the indigenous plight, I wish things had gone differently. There's no shame in that. I'm just having fun reflecting on the beauty and the horror of history. If you cut yourself off from the bad stuff you're missing out on a lot of the joy of the human condition.
