It's a very strange event esp late late into the night, for a couple hours before dawn when the stands are empty and yet the race howls on in the darkness. And the Paris/Dakar is good to watch in evening YT episodes. It's the geography...impressive as hell. I don't think that pro big wave surfing is really mainstream but it's pretty awesome too for the same reasons.

I haven't really watched it much until now because the Sabers are in the playoffs, I'm a Bills fan. It's really a giant step up from handegg with all its fucking stops and commercials. I never liked soccer much, the giant field all being in play bores me and no contact, hockey is just better.
