>"As We May Think" is a highly influential 1945 essay by Vannevar Bush, first published in The Atlantic magazine, which anticipated the modern information age and the World Wide Web.
Bush envisioned a system where users could create "trails" of associative links between related pieces of information, mirroring the way human thought connects ideas, rather than relying on rigid hierarchical filing. Thus creating the modern algorithms that tailor feed you propaganda, regardless if you're a nazi or a tranny.
The essay foresaw technologies such as hypertext, personal computers, the Internet, speech recognition, and online encyclopedias, influencing later innovators like Doug Engelbart and Ted Nelson.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DARPA_LifeLog

"The objective of the LifeLog concept was "to be able to trace the 'threads' of an individual's life in terms of events, states, and relationships", and it has the ability to "take in all of a subject's experience, from phone numbers dialed and e-mail messages viewed to every breath taken, step made and place gone".

The LifeLog program was canceled on February 4th 2004 after criticism concerning the privacy implications of the system."

Yeah, a simple search will talk about cohencidences. But this all has outgrown meta by a lot. Now the goal is to compress the huge amounts of data to be processed.
