How does that work if you kill somebody with a musket? Does it count as a gun?
The same can be said for sling shots as well. They produce about half the joules of a 22. Muskets are nasty dangerous though. Salt peter and ash and you have a horrible gun powder. Yes, its dangerous. But no, not very effective compared to cartridge loaded ammunition. These types of weapons are ambush weapons, not defensive.
