Ask yourself why we are building many thousands of data centers because we have to beat China but China is building just a few hundred. Everyone invested in data centers will tell you it’s because our grid can’t handle consolidating them, but they’ll never tell you why that is why we aren’t investing in improving that. Spoiler: it’s because they get richer by building more data centers in your neighborhood than they do by improving the infrastructure. The data centers build out is a blatant scam, tax payers are paying for it.
