AND SCIENCE PROVES IT!!!
>>535090267So this is why we need infinity jeets?
What is Miss. and how did they manage to improve
>>535090267I’m sure this has nothing to do with importing third world shitskins.
>>535090517that's all unmarried women
>>535090267I wonder what happened between 2015 and 2025 that would have caused the general population's English proficiency to significantly decrease. Maybe it's climate change.
>>535090517Mississippi, and gentrification.
>>535090517That's Mississippi, and they improved because they didn't have much farther to go down really. Dead cat bounce
>>535090267Why is Massachusetts so good at reading
>>535090267If none of you can read, how the fuck is this place filled with you zoomers posting garbage? I call bullshit.
>>535090517Mississippi. They had the lowest reading scores in the nation for decades and then some people on the government had this revolutionary idea of>maybe we should have the teachers teach children how to read
>>535090267nigga dis busin fr fr no cap
Why draw the line at 2015? Why not show the whole timeline? In 4th grade I was reading at an 8th grade level, whatever the fuck that means. By 8th grade I was reading far beyond the school standard
The skill of reading is largely obsolete. It is enough to learn basic reading at a 1st or 2nd grade level. Beyond that, if something is unclear, you can always ask an AI.In essence, we no longer need a brain in the age of AI.
>>535090267>"little baheer can you tell me what two plus two equals?">"SAAAAAAR THIS IS AGAINST MUH RELIGION ASHUNUCOWDUNGSNIFFANDLICK BLOODY BENCHOD BITCH!">"breaking news school teacher arrested for hate crimes more at eleven."
>>535090267I'll take "What are cell phones?" for $1000, Ken
>>535090267where's illinois
>>535090267Huh, I wonder what has changed between 2015 and 2025. Surely it has nothing to do with being flooded with third worlders.
>>535090267I wasn't in 3rd to 8th grade in 2015. I don't care about this graph.
>>535090517They started teaching phonics and made it mandatory for kids to repeat 3rd grade if they fail the reading test.
>>535090567There are several extremely White states on that chart. It's more to do with the fact that teachers decided expecting students to do or learn anything at all is mean because a kid might feel bad if he gets a bad grade.
>>535090267Who cares.Universal literacy is akin to universal suffrage. Most of you monkeys lack the capacity to grok wtf information you are presented with. I'd present my case but it'd be more productive to do so with my pups rather than with this bunch here.
>>535090747If you have to ask, you don't deserve to know.
>>535090267In the 70's, I had a 12th grade reading level while in 3rd grade. You chumps are fucked.
>>535090267Anyone posting here would ideally be at least 18, ideally older, meaning they are from before the retard times.
>>535090889Reading is essentially how you keep your ability to think fit. Thinking is words, the less words you know the less you can think. The less you read the less you DO think. Reading is literally the cure for being an NPC
>>535093550Same, but in 2005The US education system is perfectly designed to make children retarded these days.
>what is causing this?
im so glad to be a masshole. we are full btw. obrigado!
>>535090267good thing im not as retarded as child raping niggers
>>535093719It's a bell curve. The purely illiterate are free from the poison of modern thought. The semi-literate are just literate enough to be propagandized. The very literate wrap back around to being able to think for themselves.>In one of his early experiments, he showed people a group of geometrical figures. Complete and incomplete circles and triangles, squares and rectangles drawn with straight or dotted lines. He asked them to group the shapes together. Even if they didn’t have any training in geometry, nearly half of the peasants who’d learned to read sorted the shapes geometrically: squares with other squares, circles with other circles. Meanwhile, none of the illiterate subjects considered the shapes geometrically at all; they related them to objects.>One subject, Khamid, a 24-year-old woman from an isolated village, insisted that nothing could be grouped with an incomplete circle. ‘That should go by itself. That’s the Moon.’ When Luria tried to suggest that she group a square and a rectangle, she refused. ‘That’s a glass and that’s a drinking-bowl, they can’t be put together.’ Other subjects described the shapes as tents, bracelets, mountains, irrigation ditches, and stars.>When sorting objects, people who could read put a saw with a hammer, because they’re both tools, while illiterate peasants put a saw with a log. ‘The log has to be here too! If we’ll be left without firewood, we won’t be able to do anything.’>They were perfectly capable of thinking rationally and deductively, and they could make ‘excellent judgments about facts of direct concern to them.’ But they lived in an incredibly conservative world, with its walls closed tight around direct sensory experience. Meanwhile, even a cursory exposure to writing produces an entirely different kind of thought
>>535093723>but in 2005You escaped the matrix - good for you.
>>535090267I like how the least white state and the whitest state are in last and second to last place. Also what the fuck happened in Delaware?
How many American posters lurk and look at pics because they can’t read or write?
>>535090267Yow. The bar is one grade? First of all, a single grade is below the threshold of any arguably objective measurement. When I was in school, how far you read above your grade level didn't matter for any purpose unless it was 3-5 grade levels.
>>535090267This must mean that we need to bring in infinity Indians with a 3rd grade reading level since Americans are +-1 grade behind average.
>>535090267Zoomers are so fucking stupid
>>535093550That wasn't terribly unusual. Classroom learning was competitive at the time. It seemed so absurd that I didn't believe it. I remember wondering then what do the "smart" 12th graders read. They had this reading lab program where you read a series of increasing complex four-page papers on various topics in science, culture, literature, geography and the like, then took a quiz to move on. It was called SRA at the time but was later dumbed down to the Hooked on Phonics product. I blew through all the levels in about a month. I remember the title of the last one on level 12 - "What is Civilization?"
