I've seen what happens when these ideas are not followed. Colonialism spread lots of wonderful technologies around the globe, but it oppressed and enslaved millions. Untold economic potential was obliterated through mercantilism and the deindustrialization of colonies. Working people are being ripped off daily, as roads/hospitals are privatized and sold off to private equity firms with minimal regulation on price controls. Billions of tax pay dollars are siphoned from working people to subsidize corporate interests and political entities. Young people working multiple jobs can barely afford rent and food. We ought to change this
