AI is a scam and China won.
>>
>>535154277
ok but are ecnomy is better
>>
Nah, DeepSeek still says it's ChatGPT with minor jailbreaking. All chink AIs do this because they're just distillations of American AIs. The problem with distillations is that they suck for agentic work.
>>
>>535154277
>despite being literal slave driving bugmen with zero workers rights and labor protections, China still lags behind USA in AI development

Impressive.
>>
>>535154455
>>535154655
> AI meme
Nigger, China doesn't care about AI because it's a meme. Without China, America is done.
>>
>>535154655
>workers rights and labor protections

reminder: workers in china have houses
>>
>>535154757
They don't own houses they have 99 year lease
>>
>>535154755
yeah okay, beep bop n'stuff
>>

The US put export controls on Nvidia chips to slow the development of AI models in China, and it worked to some extent but also forced China to start building their own chip fabs. Huawei developed the Ascend series GPUs, and although their manufacturing output is alot lower than Nvidias and the chips themselves not as powerful, it will still give Chinese AI models more raw computational power which is their main hurdle at the moment.

China should be taken seriously imo.

>AI is a scam and China won.
Honestly giving soviet space / nuke race vibes.
USA beat the Soviets because they destroyed their economy developing the tech tree and worshiping and spamming nukes and space travel.
USA is doing the same thing with AI electronics and software.
>>
>>535155592
Except this time USA is losing and destroying themselves while the competition laughs.
>>
>>535154277
WE NEED MORE INDIANS
>>
>>535155592
US models are 3-8 months ahead of the best Chinese models. It's not over.
>>
>>535154277
>Ai is a scam but china is winning the ai war which means theyre winning irl but also ai isnt real and china doesn't care about AI but we cant lose to china's AI so we will spend more money on AI but its totally a scam

Right guys?
>>
>>535155772
That's because Chinese models are just distillations of older US models, sometimes with added RL. But adding RL on top of a distillation is lossy and makes them suck as agents.
>>
>>535154455
>The problem with distillations is that they suck for agentic work.
Just buy more ram bitch, you shouldn't be using models with less than 32b parameters.
>>
>>535154277
USA will lose the AI race just by getting too greedy

hmmmmnyo
>>
>>535155950
Moar RAM does nothing to solve the problem I referred to. Distillations suck for agentic work because they're lossy, and error rates compound rapidly in agentic tasks.
>>
>>535155887
I am pretty sure they add their own material to pretraining too. But they also finish with a lot of benchmaxxing on all current benchmarks which probably hurts them more then they would want you to know.
>>
I guess Trump was right.
Westerners are lazy no talents.
>>
>>535155066
You think you're going to liv way past 120?
>>
>>535154277
Yea but all of there models just copy USA models. They are doing the Asian staple of making things smaller and more efficient. Without USA and European innovation they would still be stuck in the same tech for 1,000 years. USA and EU is in a symbiotic relationship with east Asia. The former innovates the later increases efficiency.
>>
>>535156215
>I am pretty sure they add their own material to pretraining too.
They don't do pretraining. They use distillations of American models. You can't do both.
>>
>>535156191
Distillation is a meme and not a real thing thats just Anthropic propaganda. You cant make good distillation without the model weights. Deepseek published papers and made genuine advances, and can offee a frontier model for 1/10 of the price, the rest is cope
>>
>>535154397
>are economy
ai jeet detected
>>
>>535157382
I don't see why you couldn't start distillation from pretrained weights instead of randomly initialized ones. And I know at least the model I use has chinese shit cause it randomly outputs chinese characters and actually helped me in a way no western model could.
>>
>>535157540
>Distillation is a meme and not a real thing
No, it's definitely a real thing. You're just a coping chink. They're all over south America because China is a shithole every bug wants to leave.
>>535157708
>I don't see why you couldn't start distillation from pretrained weights
You do, that's the point.
>instead of randomly initialized ones.
huh?
> know at least the model I use has chinese shit cause it randomly outputs chinese characters and actually helped me in a way no western model could.
It's trained on chinese text too retard. Just because it's an American model doesn't mean it's only trained on English. Jesus shitskins here are dumb.

I upset you little zhou

how is AI a scam? it works.

if anything the USA has set up an investment bubble with the crazy method those billionaires run their AI companies, but that still doesn't make AI a scam

>Anthropic and OpenAI are having to dumb down their models so they don't consume as much electricity/water while also raising the price.
>the open-source models are catching up to their older models.
>the vast majority of corporate AI use doesn't even really need the top of the line models
Once the CEOs figure this out it's absolutely Joever. Selling "AI in a Box" servers running an open-source model to these companies as a one-time investment will destroy the current industry.
>>
>>535154755
China does care about AI, they have better researchers. They just don't have the compute.
