Some time ago I posted my personal opinion on the Islas Malvinas on Reddit. They are geographically Argentine, they always have been, and they always will be. I posted this on my own account, not in a Reddit thread or a specific community. And it was filled with comments from English people (and Scots, especially) insulting me, calling me a Nazi murderer and saying that everyone in Argentina was and is a Nazi. I explained to them that geographically these islands are in our territory (One of them told me that this was NOT the case, and that with that logic Brazil is also ours - The ignorance was palpable -) Anyway, they really gave me a hard time and even told me not to call them Islas Malvinas but Falkland Islands because that's what they're called. In a war there are clearly murderers, and they also murdered Argentinians in enormous numbers. We lost the war, and that didn't even satisfy them enough because to this day we The guilty ones, not them. Historically, there were already Argentinians settled in the Islas Malvinas; they were there before the British arrived to steal territory (something we continue to see today but with other countries) They tell you nothing about when they colonized our lands, invaded our territory in the most violent and bloody way, erased an entire indigenous culture that already existed, brought diseases, They raped, killed, imposed their religious and political ideologies, dominated everything they could, and took every mineral and everything of value from us, They did the same in Africa... And we're the bad guys? Is Europe really so blind, so conveniently ignorant?
