I do not understand why people can't leave climate control buttons alone. I have climate control in my car, and it's always at 68, but I'll sometimes set it to 70 if it's snowing or something. My defrost is set to 90, so if I press that button, it blows super hard out the defrost, but if I press it again, my normal temp of 68 resets and I'm back to normal. But any time anyone gets into my car they start pressing the buttons. Like on a hot day they'll jump in and press the button exactly 18 times to take to to "low" then almost immediately press it 18 more times in the opposite direction once they get cold. They do this so often they wore off the buttons and I had to buy new button stickers to put on top so they didn't look like shit. If they would just leave the settings alone, on a hot day it would blow as hard as it could until it got close to 68 and then taper down automatically. Same but opposite on cold days. And my car is a bit older too, my mom had a brand new BMW and I had to give her the business about her climate control. She would do the same shit, but just on a touch screen and complain about what a hassle the car is the entire time. I was like >Just leave it at 68 or 72 or whatever you want. It will do everything else on its own.. Then I was driving it and it was hot and the vents are just blowing hot air and I'm like what the heck is wrong with your car, and I noticed she went in and toggles the AC completely off. I asked why she had it off and she said she didn't want it on all the time. Like the idea of it just being available and cycling when necessary was alien to her. Drives me nuts.

For the one with the dash cracking, that is textbook sun rot where the plastic gets brittle just from sitting in the sun. A lot of older trucks have that. Wind in that environment feels like it's coming out of an hairdryer, feels like getting punched in the chest and will make you feel even hotter. Med. climate doesn't climb into 40s for example, but easily hits super high humidity and depending the condition you're in it can be impossible to literally stay alive, I shit you not.
