Someone please explain the different kinds of murders. Im binge watching crime documentaries, and it confuses me why there are 4 different kinds of "murder", 5 if you count manslaughter. Also why is police so bad with stingers and stop sticks? Or why do they need to call a beercan for one dude with a little pistol
“Different kinds of murder” mostly come down to intent + planning + recklessness.1st-degree murderPlanned, intentional killing (“premeditated”).Example: ambushing someone, poisoning them, murder-for-hire.2nd-degree murderIntentional killing, but not planned ahead.Example: a fight escalates and someone deliberately shoots the other person.3rd-degree murderExists only in some states. Usually means extreme recklessness without a direct intent to kill.Example: firing into a crowd “just to scare people.”Felony murderSomeone dies during a dangerous felony (robbery, kidnapping, arson, etc.), and participants can be charged with murder even if they didn’t mean for anyone to die.Example: your partner shoots a clerk during a robbery.ManslaughterLess intent/blame than murder.Voluntary manslaughter = “heat of passion”Example: killing during an immediate rage-filled confrontation.Involuntary manslaughter = negligence/recklessnessExample: drunk driving death. The law separates these because society punishes:planned killing > impulsive killing > reckless killing > negligent killing.Spike strips (“stingers”/stop sticks) fail a lot because:officers have to place them perfectlysuspects swerve unpredictablyhighways are dangerousmodern cars can keep driving on damaged tiresdeploying them wrong can kill the officer or civiliansCrime shows also cut out failed attempts and compress time. You probably mean a BearCat, the armored SWAT truck made by Lenco Industries.Police use them because “one guy with a pistol” can still:ambush officersshoot through walls/windowsbarricade himselftake hostagesThe vehicle gives cover and protects officers/civilians. A lot of modern SWAT tactics were influenced by incidents like the North Hollywood shootout, where regular patrol officers were badly outgunned.
reddit faggot thread. fuck off
In the UK they've got 'unlawful killing'.This is what happened to Princess Diana. They can't call it murder at inquest stage.Sadly it still hasn't gone beyond inquest stage, even thought the verdict was unlawful killing.
>>535302713I can barely look at my phone for 1 second while driving without feeling like I'm going to hit something, I don't understand how people do this
>>535302713The lust is blind. Temptation strong. The sin is sweet, but last not long.Sin cause suffer, you will regret.Say 'no' to sin, it is not too late yet. Truth?

>>535302944In many ways yes, mr/mrs/miss AI bot. If you are refering to sex it is also the prefered way for humans to procreate and ensure their continued existance. The goofy-looking couple in your picture, might become a family (after the sinning part), perhaps even a happy family and raise several children...
>>535302786Felony murder and manslaughter should be the sqme thing. Americans are retards.
>>535302713The problem in the US is homicide is usually handled by the individual states and they have different penal codes.
>>535302713>I'm gonna kill that cuntMurder>Oops, I killed that cunt.Manslaughter
>>535303660Nah, because some motherfuckers are so weak, you barely punch them and they fucking slip and fall and trip on a snail that was crossing the road and bash their fucking head into the curb and just DIE like an absolute faggot, and then what? I mean you shouldn't get murder for a fucking 40% punch. Give me a fucking break. Or like next thing it's gonna be, you punch a guy, not even 40% and then he stumble-fucks his way across the road and fucking knocks down a pregnant lady and the baby dies, are they gonna say that's YOUR fault, get fucking real. It's too easy to barely punch some dudes and have them launch into Chaplin-esque hijinks and pratfalls and if they so happen to die, you know, everybody knows it shouldn't count as MURDER, you know.

>>535303731Helpful. Easy to remember. Probably the second best summary on the subject I've ever read.
>>535303660They're not the same thing, didn't you invent the language?
>>535303841I think your example would be manslaughter.
>>535302713Can't you read a wikipedia article retard?
>>535304066>even if the participants didnt mean to kill the victim Thats manslaughter, americans made it murder because it happened at the same time as another crime.
>>535303452>AI bot.Personally me and for you anon . it doesn't mater who, point is that truth was told. Truth have no owner. calculator is also AI>for humans to procreate and ensure their continued existence. Get married or make commitment for life. Even if you never ever heard about sex = fuck, just get in the bed, in a total darkness and silence behind closed door... the nature will take over, do not interrupt with your busy mind, seeking pleasure or perfection. Express your love from the waist up and in deeds of care for each other . That is the way to have healthy family and rise the kids given humane love, that brings humane people. Kiss and hug each other every day several times a day and ask each other how to make life more wonderful today? Don't wary about fucking (sex) as less you pay attention to that biological function as better it will be naturally. If you don't waist energy for seeking pleasure intentionally, then you have more energy driving you in lust for life. Fucking (sex) cause end of relationship. Drain energy, that keep people together. As longer you last desire with out drain it, as longer you have relationship. Fucking (sex) cause , feeling of emptiness and loneliness while living together. No pol flag (!) jew shill with out free will or just too dumb to understand, why pol flags exist.
>>535304156I like the sense of community here on /pol/, besides half that shit is ai and i just dont like no damn ai
>>535303731>slaughter Does this also imply cannibalism? Really makes you think…
>>535303660No, they completely different concepts. Felony murder does not require a mens rea, only an underlying offence plus a homicide: it doesn't matter what you thought or planned, if any person does whilst you commit the underlying offence (usually robbery), then any death of any person (including your accomplise who gets shot by the security guard)that occurs during the offence you are liable for as felony murder. Manslaughter requires a mens rea and actus reus as with nearly all offences, in general mens rea that don't qualify as murder, and for which there are no compete defences to.
>>535304167Felony murder originates in English common law. It's still the law in much of the Commonwealth. It's completely different in nature to manslaughter as it requires no mens rea: murder and manslaughter both require a mens rea.
>>535304550Sounds like you're muddying the waters to benefit someone who doea the prosecuting. >Murder and manslaughter need intent to be established>this other manslaughter doesn't need intentIts americans that do this, no one else. Wrll, maybe brown nations.
>even a retarded foid can avert killing people
>>535304625Manslaughter requires recklessness or negligent mens rea. Felony require requires NO mens rea. In a manslaughter trial you must prove a reckless or negligent mens rea beyond reasonable doubt. In a felony murder you don't have to prove any mens rea at all. They are completely different offences.
>>535304550I'm guessing it's so you can't blame each other? If for instance two people wearing masks rob a bank, and one of them shoots someone. There is no use blaming the other guy, as both will be charged with felony murder?
>>535304804Because the person wouldn't be dead but for the commissioning of the underlying offence, therefore all those who participated in the underlying offence are guilty of the homicide, regardless of what they thought or intended. By participating in the commissioning of the offence, the getaway driver is guilty of his accomplise getting shot and killed by the bank security guard, and is automically convicted of felony murder once his guilt in the underlying offence (plus the bare fact of the homicide) is proven.
>>535303081Your pic must be brown, because germans are muslims and turks now
>>535304803No
>>535305035Yes. One offence requires a mens rea. The other does not. You seem to be under the misguided belief that "intentional" is the only mens rea, it is not. Depending on jursidiction, reckless mens rea (awareness of the probability [or possibility] of death or grevious bodily harm) can also a mens rea for murder rather than manslaughter. Felony murder is distinct because it has no mens rea requirement to be proven, only the simple occurance of a homicide during the underlying offence, and guilt of the underlying the offence.
>>535303452How much I wish this was real
>>535304889Hardcore. Although I can understand why THE LAW is written that way. Personally I think it makes quite a difference if I actually kill somebody or not.
>>535305343Something for sentencing to sort out, the person on the trigger can get a longer sentence than the getaway driver due to their greater culpability. But I don't feel there is any doubt in their guilt for the homicide, they commisioned the crime, someone died during the commission of that crime, therefore they are guilty of the homicide too. Felony murder is limited to serious qualifying offences, typically armed robbery. Why give participants to serious crimes that result in deaths an way out of responsibility for deaths their crimes resulted in?
>>535305214Me too. I'm going to keep pretending and act like it's real, without yearning or actively searching for it. (Easier said than done.) Not entirely logical or rational thinking perhaps. I'm just tired of the blackpills. The suffering will be my own.
