Since it cannot be refuted on that level they have to make it a matter of comparing Jesus and Muhammad. They consider Jesus to be peaceful, warm, gentle and ascetic. They perceive Muhammad as warlike, cold, cruel and indulgent. Additionally Europeans are "advanced" and Muslims are "backwards" (interestingly this latter comparison mirrors the western secular view of Christianity perfectly, it's almost as if Christianity has been thoroughly corrupted by secularism and is in fact a sentimental version of it.
