Why did the Ron Paul presidential campaigns in 2008 and 2012 fail? Can any oldfags explain what went wrong? Why did he have so much online support, but so little 'real world' support compared to guys like John McCain?

Media blackout, unironically. The mainstream media (which had much more dominance over political discourse in general back then) basically pretended he didn't exist. They wouldn't interview him, they wouldn't invite him to debates, they basically just skipped over him and acted like he wasn't an actual part of the race.

They rigged it but it would have eventually reached critical mass, but MIGAcattle thought it would be a better idea to abandon freedom and anti-zionism and put all their chips on Zion Don and the 2 party system that always fails.

We must learn from their mistakes. Return to Ron Paulism (pbuh).

People don't actually like most libertarian ideas. Nobody wants 'welfare' 'abolished' in practice, because nobody trusts 'the market' to not be a completely rigged system. 'De-regulation' seems retarded in the modern context.

Paul was only ever popular as a meme. Actual libertarian ideology is poison to most voters.

This also he's a Libertartian and the MSM couldn't allow that to become an actual thing. People might climb on board. Also he's not very charismatic and stutters a little

The banks supported Obama. Obama's campaign was also described as having 'online support'.

Because he only resonated with intelligent people who understand why our financial system is fucked. Hes a nich candidate even if he was the solution.

Plus Jews would never let him in power.

put down the cope

something can be cope, but also true. Theres that video of comp of mainstream interviewers literally cutting off or switching cameras when interviewing people and they were answering positively about Paul's candidacy. Tho to be sure, its hard to be a politician when you can speak intelligently about our money system. Goyim voters don't want to hear about that. They want to hear about fags and wars

Or, we all grew out of lolbertarian nonsense when we hit 17
