Japan intervened to prop up the yen in late April but they couldn't do much because US bond market could collapse. Now the yen is back to 159. Japan will intervene again but will have to do much more than last month to prop up the yen and actually deter those shorting the yen.
The US bond market is about to collapse. Prepare accordingly.
>While the government has declined to confirm the intervention, people familiar with the matter say it started on April 30. Analysis of the Bank of Japan’s accounts indicates it continued into early May and likely cost as much as ¥10 trillion ($63 billion).

China is falling though.

> China in the 2020s
The real estate bubble burst.
The economy lost momentum, and young people cannot find jobs.
Deflation began.

> China in the 2030s
The Communist Party regime will end with a democratic revolution fueled by popular anger.

All of the "1st world" is cooked. All of it runs on debt and debt is getting too expensive. But hey nevermind, the stock market is record high and clearly not a pumpmaxxed bubble of historical proportions.

Japans economy is based on owning shit outside of Japan. Actual Japanese are pissed that they’re getting flooded with foreigners

Buy yen. Buy Japanese stocks. The yen has been left to devalue by putting loads of government money into foreign currencies and foreign investments. Now the government is going to bring that money back home.

>The real estate bubble burst.
So people are actually able to afford homes? Perish the thought.

I remember hearing 20 years ago by the smartest by on my high school debate team that China's rise was unsustainable. I believed him for about 10 years.

The Yakuza bring them in to run the street game in the entertainment districts. It works well because if they get involved in any shit they just get deported and the problem goes away. Previously the Yaks used Russians for this, but then a cafe in roppongi iirc got shot up with automatic weapons because of some Russian mob beef, so they sent them all out of the country at once and started bringing in africans.
It's just like how they bring in filipinas for sex work for American soldiers, or Chinese women for the red light districts in tokyo. If the accused lawbreaker is a foreigner they can drop a lot of heat by just having them deported.
>>
japcoin is so worthless the banks borrow japcoin at 0.1% interest, buy USD to earn 3.5% interest, then use part of the profit to lend money back at jap at 3.5%

you should be careful with forex memes, its a bit more complicated
a LOT of that stonk gain in nikkei is on the back of yens inflation. when the market collapses, ppl sell stonk en masse (and they sell it into yen, so technically "buying" yen). so in a lot of cases, youd actually want to go LONG on the yen during a crash (but not always)
>>
did you know japland has 0% reserve requirements for banks? they also charge money for depositing money into ATMs, initiating money transfers, etc.. they can just carry-trade billions of people's savings and make free money, dont even need a printer

last time BOJ intervened in markets, japcoin strengthened 160 -> 157. now let's suppose USD/JPY is 159. risk-free interest rate in japcoin and USD is 0.75% and 3.75%, respectively. that is 3% spread. japcoin needs to strengthen to 153 before the spread starts cancelling out profits from the carry. thus, japcoin would need to reach 2-year highs for a carry trade made TODAY to be completely dead.
>>
>>535444239
Good.

volatility in the global bond market is much broader and more complex, also UST is the most important component
