Herrera's view is trade not aid. He isn't anti Israel as much as anti sending them free money.
Once he finds out Israel spends far more than the $3.8b (they spent $7b on helicopters alone in the month after October 7th) he may reconsider, especially because that aid has to be spent here in America creating American jobs.

The reality of the situation is that the drop in the bucket worth of aid pays for itself several times over in terms of weapons contracts, intelligence, and technology (the largest tech sector outside of silicon valley is tel aviv). The technology alone that Israel shares is worth several billion
