I don't believe we'll ever have a functional robot mechanical, the software is easily trained through virtual environments but they can't translate that to reality. Our technology is too primitive you need its optic sensors/lidar to perfectly map the environment, the hardware to sensor its position and then its servos to move correctly. Mechanical humanoid robotics is a dead end, they should focus on artificial muscle technology, not only is it more stable but more natural and human like.
