I don't know. I mean as this anon >>535464098 said I guess anyone would be Trump right now. But Obama has moved into the retired statesman persona. It's kinda hard to come back from that. People would wonder where the fuck he has been the last 12 years. Why wasn't he using his platform as a former President to be a vocal activist against the reincarnation of Hitler? He's just been enjoying his retirement in Martha's Vineyard, having dinner parties and funding films while fully kitted ICE agents roam the country rounding up the 'dreamers' who he promised the world to and killing any US citizen that gets in their way.
And it's been so long since 2016 that I think there is already a mainstream political analysis is already acknowledging that the rise of Trump was in part a result of some of the failings of the Obama admin. That would be a major talking point in MSM during any Dem primary that Obama entered, and if he still won it would twisted into a Republican talking point too.
Would be a kino election year though.

Trump won the electoral college in 2016 because America hates Hillary Clinton. Period.
If Biden had run in 2016 Trump would be another Sarah Palin, a freakshow we collectively forgot about within two years.

America hates Hillary Clinton and still 3 million more people voted for her than Trump
We know Biden would easily beat Trump in an election as the continuation of Obama's legacy, because Biden easily beat Trump in an election
Obama is the only president since the turn of the millennium to leave office with a positive approval rating
There is no scenario in which Trump would ever beat Obama in an election. Which is why he didn't even bother running until 2016

A more likeable Dem candidate in 2016 probably would have made the difference given how tight the result was in a couple key states.
But Hilary's unlikeability does not explain the how Trump was able to win the Republican primary or win key demographics in the rust belt while performing worse than Romney in places like Texas and Kansas.
Trump won the Republican nomination and ultimately the election because he spoke to demographics that felt abandoned by the Dems under Obama on key economic and migration issues, and outlined a vision and identity for the US that stood in contrast to both the progressive image that took hold in the Obama years as well as the failed neocon image.
If Obama had not abandoned traditional middle class Dem voting Whites then Hilary would have never lost to Trump cause Trump would have never won the Republican primary. She would have lost to Cruz, or maybe even beat him just by riding the wave of Obama's success.

Trump is basically a front for Israel. I'm sure the ballroom is just a bunker because everyone is going to hate his guts. Libertarians, independents, Democrats of course and your average normie. He's destroying the US, he's breaking the bond markets, which will break the US dollar when we are forced to monetize it. He's accelerating AI data center build outs with EO's . Then AIPAC will have the D team "Win" so they can roll out their next digitial social programs.
Judas Trump was the snake all along.

>>535467310
Absolutely Amazing.

>>535467045
Trump won the Republican nomination because there were 15 candidates in the field and they were all splitting the various factions of the party (evangelicals, neocons, libertarians, etc). Meanwhile, the frontrunner before Trump started gaining momentum was Jeb Bush, brother of the at the time still historically unpopular George W Bush.
Trump ran as an outsider candidate and toppled the Bush dynasty in the primaries. Then people voted for him as the protest vote against the Clinton dynasty.
Obama was actually not much of a factor in 2016 at all.
