The economics of it are crazy.1 lb of cherries costs 7 bucks.A dwarf cherry tree produces upwards of 20 lbs of fruit every season after 3-4 years of growth. The tree costs 60 bucks. It pays for itself after ONE season and continues to produce for DECADES.
Hazelnut trees cost 10 dollars each. After a few years of growth, they put out 10+ lbs per season. 1 lb of hazelnuts is 5 dollars on the cheap end.
