Yeah my great great great grandfather and his brother fought in the civil war, as Canadians. Borders didn’t stop anyone back then and there was leakage (moving) both ways at a rate that was unprecedented. That’s why Canada and USA have a uniquely different yet vastly similar cultures, and yet would rather point at the differences rather than the similarities nowadays.
