He was big on here in 2008 and 2012. Kind of a proto trump. I find his career to be an interesting study in a man who basically did everything right and never made any mistakes his entire life, a very difficult thing to do, and yet still was in essence a failure. He wasn't a total failure, he was an important influence and his son basically single handedly ended COVID but he failed to make huge waves or usher in great change. Compare him to trump who basically failed in every way and made every bad decision yet somehow still succeeded and had more of an impact than Ron did. I'd say a lot of the reason for this is the consequences of behind the scenes institutional power making sure guys like Ron never succeed and the other half of the equation just being dumb luck and timing. Ron was born too early
