Ukraine is near permanently scarred and will never recover fully, becoming even more of a depopulated backwater only barely staying afloat from foreign aid. And Russia's image is permanently damaged too, as it has been basically proven to the world that they aren't as strong as they've been posturing themselves to be for decades. Putin seems like the only one still holding the whole thing together, so who knows what will happen when he's gone. Maybe a second time of troubles where Putin's clique fights amongst themselves to try to get most of the spoils as they steal every last dollar remaining in the country. They're already heading toward a massive demographics crisis.
