>>537081699It's a million miles to the gallon if you always plug it in and never accelerate fast or use consumers or exceed 10 miles per hour.
That thing looks gayer than Teslas...
Plug in EV Hybrids can be the best thing ever but with three asterisks: Your commute has to be less than 40 miles both ways per day most of the time, 2. You're charging it up at home every evening and you're making your own electricity with solar panels and you need like 15 full size panels just for one car. But if you've got all that, then you can boast and say my prius EV averages between 100 miles per gallon to 300 miles per gallon. But then when you amortize and slush in the cost of the electricity solar over the lifetime of the array, you're back down to 50 miles per gallon. You're still paying, just through asset generating utilities that you own, which pay you the dividend that you get to keep the massive fat profit margin that the grid exploits you for one kilowatt hour of electricity.
>>537081810True. And if you go 10mph nobody can do anything about it because they will se a Prius and Priuses are allowed to do so.>>537081811This is what you need to become a true man. Do the right thing anon, get a Prius.
>>537081699Buy an ad ffs
And then 4. after the car is 3 years old you're spending $50,000 USD for a new battery or else the car won't run. Which brings you back to the answer as to why these electric vehicles are a giant flop. Turns out a budget internal combusion is the cheapest thing all things considered. Big OPEC and Big Rothchild Jewish Oil never blinked on killing the electric car. Batteries aren't mature yet, the cost of electricity is up 1000% making it as valuable per kilowatt as petroleum, and so you're spending all this money to virtue signal efficiency, but at the end of the day, you're spending just as much as the budget internal combusion.

The Honda insight damaged the reputation of Honda as reliable vehicles because they integrated the electric motor right in with the otto cycle, and they didn't get the engineers didn't get the timing correct, which means the engines only got 100 thousand miles before both it and the transmission exploded requiring a total re-install. They had to do heroics just to get the thing up over class action lawsuits on lemon laws because you're not allowed to sell a vehicle that gets under 99 thousand miles before engine+transmission is a total loss replacement. And the Honda insight 2015 through 2021 models were exactly that. So they got rid of the entire line. But if you were gentle on the throttle you got the advertised 54 miles a gallon and that's not a plug-in hybrid just integrated drive unit IDU. The engine makes a monotone noise unless you're ahead full throttle warp 9 mr sulu. It's a winning combination, but the big Jewish oil doesn't want it. So it gets the stop sticks.

>>537082586Old first gen 3-400k miles Priuses still run on the same battery without a new replacement. And todays EVs have up to 600k miles warranty on batteries.>>537082705I like you. But you would look good in a Prius too.>>537082442No.>>537082775If it does you can drive into the sunset if you have a Prius.
>>537082442>explain satire
>>537082708Ok but then you’ll be stuck driving a Tesla (ick)
>>537081699Toyota's new cars are so fucking ugly. Making their entire lineup look like gaudy chink trash.
>>537081699Hide your flag next time if you're going to shill for a fucking prius
>>537081699priuses are also really good if you need a car to sleep in with how the auxiliary power is delivered when not on.well at least the old ones. its been a while since i did that. im sure the new ones are the same.
The best sex I’ve ever had is with a guy who drives a Prius. He is very well-endowed.
>>53708231150mpg is double the gas mileage of everyone else on the road, over triple what you're getting from the average truck or SUV, so that's a lot more money in your pocket compared to the average and that'll be more true the more expensive gas gets. I don't know where this ludicrous scenario is coming from either. You just charge it in your wall, not that hard, and it doesn't rip into your electrical bill so much that you need solar for it. >>537082586>after the car is 3 years old you're spending $50,000 USD for a new battery or else the car won't run.And this is pure bullshit. The manufacturer warranty on a Prius is ten years. If they legitimately thought the battery would only last three, the warranty would be three. Nobody sets their warranty to where they might have to pay out a lot on a regular basis. It's like when people complain about solar panels only lasting ten years, but that's just when the warranty runs out. The warranty on anything is timed for the period the manufacturer expects the product to run with zero complications or problems 99% or more of the time. If the warranty is ten years (or however many miles) that's how long Toyota expects their vehicles to have zero problems whatsoever. There are no caveats here, the Prius is simply a more fuel efficient car than basically anything else on the road. And it's reliable. The only caveat is that you can't get the status of a pickup truck or SUV, but even that's not really a caveat because NOBODY CARES WHAT YOU DRIVE. This status game you're playing is just for yourself, everyone else is too busy being equally as narcissistic to even notice what you're doing with your life. All these gay performative symbolic gestures are for NO ONE.
I'm buying up 2-3 year old €125.000 porsche taycans and audi e-trons for €12.500 - 90% depreciation in 2-3 years. When I load these up people always say holy shit im never buying a car with batteries again. EVs and Hybrids is something people get suckered into once but never twice, the batteries degrade, highway range is half of the wltp range, less than half in winter. When an EV says 500km, thats 250km on the highway, 175km in december, your trip to the alps that used to take 7 hours now takes 3 days, EVs are a meme. Hybrids are a meme too, small repairs to high voltage electronics offsets any and all fuel savings. Same thing for plugin hybrids. Oh and none of these cars RUN when there's battery issues, so €10.000 battery problems on your €10.000 car its not like you get to just drive it like a normal car thats 400kg overweight, no no, the car is economically totaled if there's a battery issue, any battery issue.t.cardealer

>>537081699Just wait until you have to replace the two stage clutches. Almost as expensive as replacing the battery. The only hybrid I would touch is a series hybrid, and the only maker of those is Nissan.
>>537081699Toyota is MAGA driving it should be as much of a turnoff as a Tesla at this point idk why retard lefties aren’t boycotting the brand yet
>>537081699it’s THE best car for the non car enthusiast as we transition to electricon a case by case basis some people are probably already better off going fully electric given infrastructure and the nature of your dwelling
>>537083588he is a gang stalking coward mongolian they don’t know anything
>>537083450>50mpg is double the gas mileage of everyone else on the roadpassenger cars bigger than prius get well over 50mpg with a 2 liter turbodiesel engine, a modern 2 liter turbodiesel engine also puts out 600 Nm or about 370 ft-lbs of torque so it will push you back in your seat harder than a V8 petrol. I drive from Brussels to Portugal In a Diesel without stopping for gas, can a prius do that? Can a tesla? We had the perfect engine tech but instead of further developing it decided to demonize it because some greedy krauts cheated.
>>537081699Elonsisters, our response?
>>537081699>gas pricesBut I have to worry about finding an outlet, hard pass I'll stick to my 15mpg XJ you homofag.
>>537083783>transitioningim sure most people driving EVs are yes
>>537083496Taycans and e-trons are trash to being with. It would be me saying "oh I bought a Bugatti as a daily and say, oooh I had to do an $30k oil change the other day. Anything german or european made is basically trash and will cost you a fortune regardless of what brand down the road. 100k miles and you are dealing with repair costs of a new used car on almost everything european.I have a 2016 Rav4 hybrid. Bought it with 13k miles on the odo. Car has run over 200k miles now. I have never done any service to it. Only fluids and oil. I have replaced brake pads ONCE and rotors ONCE. And tires. beyond that i have done zero. Car still runs great. Anyone who thinks that you will have tons of problems with EVs are degenerates. Most car manufacturers give you warranty on their EVs. Hell, toyota has 1 million km warranty on their pure EV and that is about 600k miles. So yeah, nonsense talk.
