Unless the back half of your fridge is outside of your house, all of that heat was dumped directly into the home you're now trying to cool.This is why air conditioners are efficient. Last year, I tried this and I had 5 bottles in the room and 2 infront of the fan and it did nothing at all. I felt more cold putting the bottle on the floor and putting my feet on it.It's a total waste of time, the ice melts in less than 30 minutes too.
