I went to Chicago recently, and it was just amazing. 80% Latino, lively, beautiful nature, and most importantly it actually felt like *somewhere*, with an identity. Obviously this state has issues, and no economy, but at the very least it felt like Mexico. It was a breath of fresh air, coming from a 50% white, black state that feels like a global shopping mall and ghetto
