I've been meaning to ask about this. Does anyone have knowledge of these meteors coming with gripen?
I read they can take care of the glide bomb threat due to their range (theoretical 200km) but I know little more about them.
Do they work as well as they claim?
If they can then Russia loses it's best weapon. Glide bombs are the only effective tool they have really.

i'm no expert but I remember discussions on /k/ few years ago about how Meteors could be a big change if they were provided to Ukraine thanks to their long range. Russians will effectively have to cease some of their air operations because otherwise they will start losing their airplanes, 200 km is so far that Ukrainians could shot enemy jets down while still flying in their own airpsace.

Too much space to cover, incompetent and unmotivated people, and even if they shot down most enough would still get through. Ukraine is much better at shooting them down and still the ones that get through cause damage, thank fuck ziggers are worse at picking and hitting their targets.

I don't know but the Swedish Air Force was the 3rd largest and best in the world in the 50s and 60s. They developed a lot of tech that outperformed US and Soviet fighters. For example the Saab Draken was the first supermaneuverable fighter in the world, it could do the Cobra before Russians. The Saab datalinks and electronic warfare systems are tier 1, and the RCS of the Gripen NG is damn near stealth. Chances are that they are exactly as good as they claim.

Meteors are made by MDBA which is party british owned, it's called the best missile in the world because it has an insanely high hit rate due to its ramjet iirc
Unlike a Russian missile which cannot maneuver well and will get worse at hitting the further it goes, the Meteor maintains its hit rate when it does and more or less has a "dead zone" where it will kill you.
As for the Gripen, unclear exactly how good it is but it's superior to the Viggen and can fight in an asymmetric war due to the way its operation works. The Gripen E/F is also at least superior to Ukraine's current F-16s and it has good radars and datalinks. Not F-35 level but it'll be the best aircraft in Ukraine and perfect for air defense.
Personally I wish we'd make a stealth frame Gripen but we'll see, SAAB wants to roll something like that out in the 2030s I heard.
>>
>>538914430
Just looked up russian glide bombs. The UMPB D-30SN has a range of up to 90km...
So it definitely means they are coming into meteor range but they can also shoot back.
Just looked up their missile options.
No. Meteor doesn't allow them to just fuck up glide bombers. They have missiles of similar range and more.
Ok. That's that answered.
I guess it gives Ukraine a slight advantage as the bomber is trying to bomb so firing missiles at the same time would be problematic whereas the gripen has just the one job.
Still. It's not the easy fix I thought.

You have to take radar range into account as well, Ukraine will be operating with EriEye which is superior to any Russian AWACS. Eventually they might even get GlobalEye considering NATO is ordering them and that might beef production.

Rafales are quite capable, even more capable than the Gripen C/D in a lot of areas including range which will help in Ukraine, but I think they'll still be used mostly for air defense against ballistic & cruise missiles until Russian AA cracks hard enough for regular intrusions.
Ukraine has played its air force close to its territory the whole war to avoid losing pilots and airfarmes, which is to be expected. This is why I've personally wanted a no fly zone or something to be established because F-35s with stealth would basically just rape anything Russian in the airspace with impunity.

I'd be pessimistic unless we know for sure how long they will carry on. Safe to say at least that Russian positions will become a lot more brittle as these refineries are whittled down, the amount of hurt Ukraine can deliver on Russia in the time it takes for them to repair even 1 refinery let alone 10 of them is a lot at this point.

There is a chance, but I think it is more likely that Putin will try a new mobilization in autumn. He can't really afford to lose the war, so he will kick the can down the road.
If China comes up with a decent drone defense system, the whole initiative of the war might change again as well.

I think the refinery hits are a long-term strategy not to strangle r*ssian economy, but to actually tactically strangle r*ssian ability to operate drones.

Think about it. You need a generator to charge your shit. What are you going to do if the fuel simply never comes?

What are you going to do when you have no drones, and Ukrainian tanks are rolling straight for you?
>>
>>538915052
>me it takes for them to repair even 1 refinery let alone 10
Sounds cool till you find out that ukraine has 0 (zero) refineries and it didn't change shit and those didn't even get destroyed in the war, ukros ruined them all decade before.
>>
>>538915156
>ukraine has 0 (zero) refineries
And they have benzin.

r*ssia has all those refineries, and no benzin.
>>
>>538915064
Yeah the only Russian missile with a similar range is the R-37, but it's not very good at killing fighter aircraft at all even if it forces the Ukrainians to evade as per this article
https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidaxe/2023/05/30/with-f-16s-ukrainian-pilots-can-finally-beat-back-russias-mig-31s/?ss=aerospace-defense
The meteor comparably is unique, because it has a massive no-escape zone that no Russian aircraft can cope with.
>>538915156
>ukraine has zero refineries, take dat!
Ukraine isn't depending its entirely economy on refining oil unlike Ziggeria. This means they are more resilient to strategic attacks, which is also boosted thanks to EU support.
>>
>>538915064
I was reading about r-37m. I'm assuming this is for big, slow planes with that range. (400km)
R-77m (190km)

Hang on. I've just realised, they're lying again, aren't they?
If they had these and they worked then Ukraine would have lost a lot more planes by now.....

It's a comparably overhyped piece of shit, it can still be dangerous tho but it's nothing compared to the Meteor which does everything it does but better, with lower weight and with a much higher chance of hitting. It also has datalink and will work with western AWACS and ground radar. Since F-35s can carry it (or eventually at least?) it should also be interoperable with fighter radars.

Furthermore, the specific aircraft Russia needs to launch the R-37 have counters.
>Vympel MKB’s R37M is designed to shoot down tankers, AWACS and other C4ISTAR aircraft while keeping the launch platform out of range of any fighters that might be protecting the target. A powerful radar is necessary on board the launching aircraft (MiG-31, Su-57 & Su-35S) to acquire a target at maximum ranges.
>However MiG-31 & Su-35S radars are Passive Phased Array (PESA) which renders their transmissions highly detectable and spoofable by all modern 4.5 Gen western aircraft DRFM self defense suites : Rafale /Spectra, EF-2000 /EuroDASS, F-16V Bl 70 /AN/ALQ-257 , Gripen-E /IDAS, F-15EX /EPAWSS, AF-18E / AN/ALQ-214(V)4/5 & F-35 /AN/ASQ-239.

If, if. the russia could do shaheds; if they could do anti-drone systems, they would do them ages ago. It's the structural inability of them to construct such a system. You don't only need an equipment to operate with; but also structures manning them. It's cheaper and easier to make shitty rocket and attack a garage instead. Flying low means you have to pretty much fly exactly over an air defense position to get shot down.
And Ukraine must know exactly where Russia's air defenses are due to American satellite images and perhaps just trial and error.

Fighters should be able to shoot them from above though.
But I don't know if Russian airborne radars can see such small object so close to the ground - they probably look like cars to them.

Why don't they know due to European satellite images? Have you ever wondered that anons? Why did French intel think Russia wasn't even going to invade Ukraine? Was it because they're outside of five eyes and hence US intel? Macron fired his own intel chief over that. And the gap has massively escalated due to Mythos. >Russia digs like 500t of gold every year

>that alone is enough to finance war
345t ≈ $55-60B at record prices. russia's Q1 defense spending ALONE was $75B. also the state doesn't own the gold anon, polyus does - the budget gets a mining tax

and the punchline: the CBR started SELLING gold from reserves (21.8t dumped in Q1 to plug the hole), banned citizens from exporting over 100g, jacked VAT to 22%, and the H1 deficit already blew past the full-year target by 60%. countries whose gold "finances the war" don't liquidate the piggy bank and shake down their own serfs kek

Bonjour frens,
TZD
Today, 14/07/2026, is the day of France’s annual great military parade.
Held in Paris, this year’s edition will see 10.000 soldiers and 250 vehicles on the Champs Elysées. An air parade will also take place, showcasing helicopters and airplanes.
This year’s theme is the Coalition of the Willing, which helps Ukraine defend itself against Russian invasion.
Several European heads of state and government are present, including Zelensky. 25 Ukrainian soldiers will take part in the parade.
>When does it start?

In one night, July 14th. 116 ships intercepted in 9 days by the SBS (Special Boat Service) in the Sea of Azov as part of Operation "Molochka": 5 tankers, 5 cargo ships, and 1 tugboat.
*The shadow fleet is withering, but it must disappear as a species.*

Many people don't understand what's happening around that naval engagement. Where do all these tanker ships come from? What is their mission? And why is the SBS targeting them, not sinking them, but turning them into drifting specters at sea? I'll have time soon to record a video with explanations.

Here's a brief explanation: The operation paralyzes the feeder fleet of Russia ("courier" small and medium-sized 140-meter flat-bottomed tankers with a deadweight of 7,000 tons), which is a significant component of Russia's shadow fleet. It essentially prevents the export of "black gold" from Russian port oil transshipment bases and pumping stations via the Volga-Don Canal and the Sea of Azov to large tankers that cannot navigate the shallow waters to the oil terminal or port. Instead, they are forced to be loaded (bunkered) from the tanks of those "courier" tankers in the Black Sea, taking on cargo from 12-15 of these vessels. Also, disabling these "camel-like" tankers (and the tugboats that persistently tow them after being hit) restricts the delivery of scarce gasoline to Crimea via the narrow channel of the shallow Sea of Azov, leaving the main and very dangerous method of delivery as rail and road tank cars, which are also under fire control of the patriotic Ukrainian SBS, whether it's asphalt or rails.

That was a complex sentence, but those who are curious will understand. I promise to record a more detailed explanation soon.

Let's work, gentlemen! There's a lot of work to be done.

We will endure.
*Moscow will fall, Operation "Molochka" is in action.*
We will feed and rebuild Crimea.

ok, let's test that. which word is impossible - "tax", "revenue", or "21.7"?

relax, nobody's asking you for sources. no links, no reading. just pick a letter:

(a) ukraine doesn't have ~10% inflation
(b) the military levy wasn't tripled from 1.5% to 5%
(c) excises weren't raised to EU levels
(d) the 4% PIT share wasn't moved back into the state budget

"impossible" means at least one of those is fake. which one, anon? single keystroke. I'll handle the fact-checking part myself, I know how you feel about sources

10% inflation alone gets you halfway to 21.7 before a single tax hike. the claim you find unbelievable is "prices rose and taxes went up during a war". truly the stuff of legend

The intel of the invasion had nothing to do with satellite intel, it was spy intel. People knew they had their exercise and were amassing forces, but they were in disbelief that they were actually going to invade because it was so stupid. Especially with the amount of forces they had which could not hold a city like Kyiv.
The main issue on the Russian part was that they thought they had tons of collaborators that would dismantle Ukraine's defenses for them, which is why they had a bunch of police with them in the initial invasion to quell unrest.

I like the idea it would shake out the non competitive industries and might even allow others to exist in the loss of certain companies. Smaller metal workers/CNC machine companies only exist due to the increase in worker productivity but the cost of starting up is just as high as ever. If the bottom falls out and the prices drop for consumers of those products you might see a company fail but with more employees hired at other smaller companies. Lots of pull's/levers involved in an economy.

No, they have deflation and that's good for big majority of the people.
And this deflation probably comes from rise in production efficiency. When there's demand chinks increase production vs how it's handled in this neoliberal utopia here where they just increase prices and feed you with inflation is good for you shit.
just leave chinks do their own thing, have no problems of your own?

friendly econ lesson for the thread since someone thinks deflation is based

>deflation is bad only for bankers
other way around anon. loans are nominal. when prices and incomes fall, the debt stays the same size - the real burden grows. deflation is a wealth transfer FROM debtors TO creditors. by your own logic you just took the banker's side kek

now china specifically:

chinese households park most of their wealth in apartments. sales down 65% from peak, evergrande liquidated with $300B in liabilities, millions pre-paid for homes that never got built. "house prices dropping" isn't a discount, it's the middle class watching its savings evaporate while the mortgage stays full size

producer prices fell for 3+ straight years. factories cut prices, then margins, then wages, then workers. youth unemployment: 16.9%. consumers delay buying because it's cheaper next month, which forces more price cuts. the spiral feeds itself - that's the entire reason deflation is feared and mild inflation is targeted

and the punchline: beijing agrees with me, not with you. xi launched a literal national campaign in july 2025 - "anti-involution" - to force capacity cuts and END the deflation. the only reason chinese CPI crawled back to ~1% this year is that it partly worked. you're not redpilled about deflation, you're arguing against the politburo lmao

bonus observation: this same rotation tells us russian double-digit rates are fine AND chinese deflation is fine. prices up = good, prices down = good, depending on whose flag it happens under. macroeconomics of pure ass feeling

Its not always 100% a good thing if your wages shit the bed with it and you can't find a job. We had a ton of deflation during the 1920's when 20% of the population in the US wasn't able to get a job so clearly its not the best. Some products naturally deflate due to productivity increases and competition but that's not always the case. Less demand on products can also cause deflation but if there's job loss from it you end up causing more deflation elsewhere 2008 financial crisis saw US housing production/banking jobs shit the bed hard for almost a decade and when they didn't have a job everyone else got hit and flatlined product pricing/wage growth for a decade due to reduced demand.

You sound like a butthurt faggot anon.

It used Ariane 5, which was launched from 2005 - 2017. Any Euro satellite between those dates could be technically capable of watching at least individual vehicles from space.

>my MONEY becoming STRONGER

genuine question anon: if you own nothing, how much money do you actually hold? a paycheck, maybe two. now who's sitting on decades of it - cash, deposits, bonds? the top 20% you're mad at. deflation makes their pile grow while they sleep. your "stronger money" is one month deep. theirs is a warehouse. who wins that trade?

second question: if you own nothing, 100% of your economy is your wage. and your wage is also a price - the price of your labor. in deflation, what does a company cut first: its debts, which are fixed in nominal terms, or your salary and your job? falling prices reach you before they reach the shelf

now the home test. prices in poland rose every single year of your life - by your theory the bottom 80% got robbed for thirty straight years. so explain this: unemployment 19% in 2004, 3% now. real wages +87% since 2000, with the biggest gains at the BOTTOM of the distribution. minimum wage up sevenfold since 2001. if inflation is a fantasy sold to the poor, why did poland's poorest gain the most during the most inflationary catch-up run in europe?

reverse test: name one country where people who own nothing thrived under falling prices. greece 2013-16? croatia 2014-15, 43% youth unemployment? japan's thirty frozen years? there isn't one

>>
>>538918170
He imagines deflation through Productivity increases/lowered utilities/gas/food and cheaper PPI which allows more companies to compete in the market which lowers prices. He forgets that sometimes deflation happens through job loss which is currently what is happening in China.

We need Fusion which would allow for cheaper energy prices and thus cheaper desalination/converting air into literal fuel which the US navy is considering for its nuclear carriers and many other uses. Other things like meteorite mining would cause deflation of metals but this is future tech.

>Deflation fucks up spending, which fucks up businesses, which fuck up people being able to earn money, which fucks up economy even more
No it doesn't.

What it DOES fuck up is excessive and fake growth, which is what corporations and kikes hate.

People don't suddenly stop consuming because a magic number hits a negative. People simply consume LESS, which is what causes kikes to experience agonizing pain, because the goyim get to see that maybe deflation isn't that bad after all.

In fact, why even argue about this? Chinx are deflating intentionally right now. They're done playing the poor plastic factory game. They have all the manufacturing and production they need. Unlike r*ssia, chinx can actually exist indefinitely without outside help, so deflation helps them.

>are you going to spend it today?
If I need food today? Yes, absolutely.
Like I said, people still spend. I may not spend my dollar today, or tomorrow, or even in a month, but once I have enough dollars saved up, and I know they're only going to become more expensive with each passing day, why not spend some of my savings to get myself something nice?

It works both ways. Endless inflation is how economy "dies" too and how you end up with millions of these useless gay companies doing nothing except providing some vague "service" of use to nobody.

It's not just a currency thing for them. Their shit currency isn't a normal currency either way.
The big issue for them is that:
- some of the elements of their prior economic growth are basically running out;
- they are running into the time bomb issues of the prior communist policy;
- and this is compounded by retarded political ambitions fueled by them moving away from the political power rotation and sliding back into personalisitc autocracy;
- with people seeing how the retarded politics mess up things, so a lot of the people who previously exclusively made business with them are running to setup business elsewhere;

>9 times out of 10 the "lowers prices" is just a cynical dumping scheme to screw over competitors, corner the market and then jack up the prices even more
There has to be some initiative that would force companies to make more in order to earn more profits instead of just seeking equilibrium between high price and lower sales/production.

>chinx have everything they want/need
Yeah-yeah, and "what they need" will be determined by the party official. Been there, done that.

The gap between capabilities in this war is just getting stupid now.
Russians in a house trying to steal a toilet getting machine gunned by a couple of robot soldiers and bombed by drones.

>Are you going to use it to hire an employee? No you won't.
People literally don't see how the same thing fuck ups the labor market in many European countries, which have too strong of socialist "labor protection" policies.

>If I need food today? Yes, absolutely.
Yes, food, water and shelter. That will be the amount of your spendings and you will seek to reduce them because you like having money.
Now there are new problem arising. You see, the supermarket that sells you the food, it has investors. Those investors are now losing money because their dollars are locked into stock. They like having money too, so they will seek to divest. The supermarket dies in short order because it needs capital to stay alive and capital is mechanically sheltering in the bank.
>Endless inflation is how economy "dies"
Instability kills the economy, both ways, yes. Inflation is a flat tax that kills the poor and those whose assets are stored in currency (as opposed to stock and bonds). If you're elon musk and your value is stored in tesla shares you dont gaf. If you're a boomer and your value is stored in dollars you're proper fucked.
Both inflation and deflation are shit. The best state to be is having a stable currency with 2-3% inflation so spending is encouraged but money is a stable store of value

You have to remember debt exists.
Inflation reduces the value of money, which means it reduces the value of outstanding debts as well. Interest rates are tuned with the assumption that some of the debt will be inflated away.

Deflation increases the value of debts over time. This crushes the whole credit system a modern economy is built on. Borrowing money is easy, borrowing goods is hard. When inflation is happening, interest rates can be adjusted. When deflation is happening, there's no lever to pull that fixes this. It's very painful.

If you are not wealthy this is even worse for you, because most likely you are in some kind of debt. Auto, home, medical, etc; or you pay rent to someone who is, who will pass the cost to you. Or you depend on businesses which depend on loans, and own mortgaged properties.
