The prosecution had demanded a sentence of two years and 10 months, the report said.“We are dealing here with a suspected perpetrator, who had previously drawn attention to himself through a high volume of criminal offences, radicalisation and affiliation with the Islamist scene,” Mr Dobrindt said at a press conference near the attack site.Ballout was held in custody in the Plötzensee juvenile detention centre and released at the end of his sentence in May.After posting material in support of Islamic State online, he was ordered to attend a de-radicalisation programme.
