Otherwise I had a wall/window unit.I visited Indy and the Airbnb had one of those in the pic, a wall unit but doesn't access the outdoor air at all. I was very impressed by its power. Kept the bedroom really cold all night.I don't know if it uses a lot more electricity but I enjoyed my experience.
