87% of all rice is produced in the Kharif season
>>539895997greatanother mass exit from india
>>539895997>India hasn't had fertilizer for 5 monthsthey make their own fertilizer, if you know what I means
>>539898753>Ignore the bots here.I like the bots, they have more personality than the NPCs
>>539895997huh? why not use the cow dung or their own. India shou never have to worry about not having fertalizer
>>539895997
>>539895997should I invest in rice?
>>539895997not my problem
>>539899099Because its not actually that simple. Mass factory farming absolutely rapes all of the nutrients out of the soil with no time to recover. This can only be sustained by treating the soil like its a chemistry problem, pumping specific chemicals back into it to provide the specific stuff it has been depleted of. Composted poop is fine for your home garden (but you do have to compost it, fresh dung is often actually bad for plants because of the acidity, it needs to decompose a bit) but for the sort of soil problems that India has through its farming practices that would be like pissing on your house to put out the fire.India's supply of some of its key chemical fertilizers was a result of cheap petroleum byproducts coming out of the middle east's refineries. With the strait shut down, no fertilizer for them and because India is fucking HUGE there isn't another market that can possibly support them because they are needing to feed more people in one country than can be found on some entire continents. If they had a reasonable number of people this would be a manageable problem, but as-is they are set up for mass starvation because they physically cannot fertilize the soil enough to matter with what they have got.
>>539901611The world is healing
>>539896196They don't have fuel to be able to leave.
>>539901704The cruel reality of the matter is... kinda, yeah. India's population was always a disaster waiting to happen. Its too many people, not enough resources, and some absolutely ABYSMAL infrastructure because their ultra-low trust society prevents them from building anything functional because they'd rather sabotage it for personal gain at the first opportunity than let someone else benefit from... basically anything. There was never a way that this was going to end well. A couple years ago I would have said that what would eventually be their downfall would have been a health crises, because they don't have what they need to deal with an outbreak of something actually contagious and deadly and their whole country is a giant bioreactor. But it turns out that what will probably do them in first is a lack of food resulting from a chain of events that they didn't even have anything to do with. Would not have placed that bet. And with the current social/political unrest in India, once the food shortages start it will almost certainly just implode outright. No meaningful government functions being performed, everyone everyone else for any food or fuel left, etc. The violence will probably kill people people than the famine does. Until, eventually, it reaches some kind of equalibrium with the population having been reduced to something more sustainable... for a while, at least. Until they have more kids again. Also, they will never fall down as hard as their situation would normally warrant because some kind of foreign aid is inevitable. Not for charity, but because nobody wants 1 billion indians to stampede out of India like a plague of locusts killing and eating everything in sight and taking down all of their neighboring countries with them like a zombie apocalypse.
>>539902226I honestly thought Pakistan and India would just launch salvos of scud missiles loaded with radioactive material at each other
Supply chain disruptions will fuck over most countries. I don't know of any country that is 100% food secure internally except maybe Belize
>>539896196>>539895997bad news, but india allegedly has like a year’s supply of emergency grain in storage.
>>539902398That's assuming that Indians are capable of being clean enough and honest enough to not let the grain rot or steal it and sell it for izzat score.
>>539902476Agreed, it’s a big assumption. They’ll probably find out that some corrupt politician’s son sold it all.
I don't think this is true, the strait was open for at least a couple of months before the hostilities resumed. they had more than enough time to stock up on fertilizer.
>>539901611Almost like there's a plan to brain drain India before mass starvation, then when you ship them all back India's IQ jumps 15 points? (From 60 to 75 lol)
>>539902758The strait was 'open' but never to its full passage rate as before. It was just letting through 10 ships a day as opposed to 0, but thats still a pittance compared tot he 150-200 ships that was the pre war usual.
>>539903226And some percentage of those ships were hit by drones and missiles and never made it to their ports even if they managed to get through the mine field in the Straits.
>>539895997>eating anything imported from IndiaLolLmao
>>539895997Kharif WAT?
>>539895997TOTAL JEET DEATH
>>539895997I buy rice at the dollar store, it was grown In America
Good? Fuck india. God willing they enter a famine while pakistan redirects their rivers, forcing an escalation that ends with both sides depopulated. What good has come from india? They had one singular genius a hundred years ago who came to Britain to find people who actually understood his work. The IQ 76 bulk of the indian population cannot understand cause and effect. They cut down their forests, accumulating heat in the soil, then die in the hundreds of thousands when the wet-bulb temperature becomes unlivable. Iran could fire missiles on india and become an international hero overnight.
