book is returned 150 years later, to the library

Mans grandpa's dad loaned a book 150 years ago (1870s)

He is already 77 himself, and he returned the book just recently, luckily THE SAME library was still around

librarian was a bit dumbfounded but then calculated 149 times 12 months missing book with 1 month due being 1 Finnmark in price, would be 1500 Finnmark roughly

Thats 330 euros because Finnmark was never very valuable (the currency disappeared in the year 2000)

book was found from family owned old mansion built in early 1800s, its 200 years old and quite a piece of history now

Actually the mon would have needed to pay 33 000 euros but library settled for 330 euros, the reason is the library lost the records of of book loaners of 1800s and earliest they have is year 1912

the man agreed that "its a fair price"

how valuable vould the book be today if it didnt have a library sign? maybe a few thousand euros

>return book
>get charged
what a scam. THe fee should NEVER be more than what the book originally cost to produce.
