In this movie analysis Wyatt Stagg says that the symbolic message that's hidden in The Matrix is that the white man's salvation is to embrace his descent into oblivion, and he then concludes by saying that the good way is to reject this notion and do the opposite, assert your existence in the physical realm.

I think it's possible the former is the right idea here. It's at least an idea that can be entertained. Most people seem to unquestioningly run with the latter idea.

>For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?
Matthew 16:25-26

singularity doesn't exist. You will just die and go to hell.

What? I think you're approaching the concept from the mindset of someone whose mind is operating within the latter ideology. That makes you interpret something that's an idea as something that's a plot. You're viewing something that's psychology as being politics. That's central to what this is about.

>For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Ephesians 6:12

We are confounded by our peers, held to a certain standard. Even any sort of counter culture is predictable; typical. In my art class, a girl pointed out: it’s very difficult to be truly original, to create something completely unique to what came before. That is to say that almost everything has been a bastardization of a previous thing. The mind doesn’t hallucinate something into existence, it is the manifestation of everything before it. It’s why seeing all these LGBTXYZ+ is so infuriating. They’re not as controversial as they think they are.

Next time read the OP text before replying instead of only looking at the image.

Your purpose in life is different from mine. We aren't all the same and shouldn't try to apply a cookie-cutter method to existentialism. Listen to your God or gods, it will be revealed to you when you're ready.

You're not addressing anything in the OP.

Why are you in Sweden, Sargon? Or are you one of those Indian classic posters?

If you agree with Wyatt Stagg's position, and disagree with the message he sees in The Matrix, then present arguments for your position. That's what he didn't do.

Another thing to say about Wyatt Stagg's video is that he simultaneously sees a hidden manipulative subversive message and that this message is wrong. But he has no actual argument why that message is wrong, it's just wrong, it's just bad, period. But what's interesting is that somehow this message is dangerous even though it's wrong. You'd think perhaps it might be dangerous if someone were influenced by the message such that they were having delusions. But then surely spreading light on why the message is wrong, and presenting the truth would cause the message to lose its power? But no, this is not a concept. It's just "it's wrong, it's bad, no reason why, but think the opposite". Total anti-intellectualism.

If there is a message at all in a piece of fiction it is either of two things.

1) an idea, and with it an association of good or bad (valence)

2) an idea, and with it an association with another idea, and the agreement or disagreement of the two (a=b or a=/=b, a proposition)

anyway I'm wasting my breath, this site doesn't care for any kind of analysis of anything at all
