In order to force a major correction in the system and extract wealth back from the god damn boomers, younger generations need to go on a house buying strike. It's already happening unofficially due to high interest rates and being priced out, but it needs to be a 100% NO BUYERS for 10 years! Watch the desperate boomers lower their ask prices 85%. If you inherit a house from a boomer put it on the market for 80% less just to drive down the neighborhood and cause panic selling, but never close on a sale. Rent it out to cover property taxes while it sits. Stay committed diamond hands until they LEARN. 80k houses are coming back

Bruh iran has like $20 billion estimated in US real estate thats just frozen. How many countries you think do that? The US housing market isnt even owned by us citizens anymore. Wake up.
>>
>>543539087
If you list a house below market rate it gets bought by a flipper in less than 12 hours and they will happily sell it for 4x in a few months.

How does that help?
>>
40% of US homeowners don't have a mortgage.

Of the ones that do, half of them are locked into low 30 year rates, so they ain't selling.

Prices only come down if there is higher supply (more new homes built)

Prices and interest rates remain high, so builders are building fewer homes since there isn't as much profit in it.

The only solution that will work is we need to BUILD MORE HOUSING. The private sector refuses to do it to the level required becuase they're bound by the profit motive.

So we can either fix this problem with PUBLIC, GOVERNMENT FUNDED AND BUILT HOUSING, or you can cry "that's communism" and the problem will never be fixed. As a homeowner with a low rate I don't give a shit.

For all of you capitalist-brained bootlicking fucks who don't even own a home yet, congrats! You played yourself!
>>
>>543539087
>House buyers need to strike

Yeah with 8% interest rates? Are you retarded. Let the idiots who bought after 2020 get fed up and walk away when they realize they are paying more than their house is worth.

Then the real sales will happen
>>
>>543539817
>Of the ones that do, half of them are locked into low 30 year rates, so they ain't selling

The issue is the property taxes and insurance. They are actually selling. Foreclosures are rising. Listings are going stale.

The zillow number is not real
>>
>>543539087
Lmao. You think you have influence on the market? The entire market is boomers and private equity. They don't need you plebs.

That I dont work and i drink starbucks and also that i don't have money and need to save up. Sorry that the value of your piece of shit house is tanking but the only thing thats fair is how unfair it is.

Have fun holding the bag when shit hits the fan
>>
>>543540746
Do you have any idea how much property taxes cost already bro?

My mortgage is $2400. Every month I pay that. $500 of that $2400 goes to the county. Another $175, goes to insurance.

I pay my county $6600 a year in rent. I have to pay it forever...and that's a modest number...My house and interest actually only costs $1400 a month.

Property taxes need to be banned.
>>
>>543539885
were saying the same thing chud, right now is the best time for pressure after these morons bought in 2021-2024
>>
>>543540860

>>
>>543540449
You "worked your ass off" meaning you sat in Jew day care 8 hours a day for 10 years and bought a house for $8000 and a pack of cigarettes. Wow. So hard. Much struggle. Your entire "work your ass off" amounted to you moving your 400lbs ass up and down a staircase 5 times a week.
>>
>>543540015
sounds like a bubble to me. good time to STOP BUYING
>>
>>543540930
Who determines the "value"

It's arbitrary... I moved in 2015. My property taxes then were $1800 a year. Very reasonable. It's the same house I have lived in. Nothing new. Some jackass who funds free school lunches for niggers Arbitrarly says my home is worth x amount of money. Well it's not. Because I have no intention on selling. It's worth what I say it's worth.

This shit has got to stop. As you can see my property taxes have quadrupled since 2015.

Sounds like we're rewarding the state for doing a shitty job solving the homeless nigger problem, and that we should stop paying them and solve it ourselves.
>>
>>543541321
I see your posts fren. The problem with a lot of the houses you post are the location. I prefer to be near a decently populated place with more local stores and options, gym, etc (BUT NOT IN A CITY)

Roast me for this chuds but I would like a whole foods within 20 minutes driving distance
>>
Just move off grid and become independent of the system, retards. The jew fears the self-sufficient goat herder.

You can buy 10 acres of high desert land for less than the price of a shitty used car. You can build large structures with just rammed earth, adobe and repurposed lumber. You can harvest tens of thousands of gallons of rainwater in a year even in the desert. You can easily grow enough crops and raise animals to feed a family of 6 without any heavy machinery. Overgrazed desert can easily be regenerated into a productive property which literally shits out money for you. You faggots have all it takes to create a life that is completely unreachable by shlomo goldburg if you just were man enough to give up modern conveniences and actually work for yourself, but none of you are going to do it. You will sit here and seethe while whacking off to whatever degenerate cartoon porn from japan.
>>
>>543541369

Jesus fucking Christ, you children have zero idea how real estate transactions or basic economics work.

There is no "bureaucrat jew" setting house prices. If you own a home and want to sell it, YOU set the price. You can set it wherever you like. All you need if one person willing to pay that price. If no one is willing, guess what, you set the price too high! Better lower that shit if you actually want to sell.

Side note: this is actually how every asset price in the whole fucking world is set. It's a constant negotiation between buyers and sellers.

Governments can do minor shit on the demand side like adjusting tax rates, or interest rates, or they can try to juice the supply side by offering incentives to builders. But these are all temporary band-aids that don't fix the underlying problem.

The ONLY way to bring home prices down in an area is to BUILD MORE FUCKING HOUSES. If the private sector won't, the government should.

>>

>The problem with a lot of the houses you post are the location.
You're moving the goalpost. You don't actually want an affordable house. You want an expensive location. You have to start looking at bug towers. Like, we can pull up a place in Waikiki under $100K, in a bug tower, with an HOA fee.
>>
>>543541840
Nigger I've owned my home for 13 years.

Property taxes are no sweat at all. It's a couple hundred bucks a months already automatically deducted with my monthly mortgage payment.

The value of my house as doubled since I bought it. Property taxes are miniscule compared to the value of the asset and the gains I've already made. Plus they pay for important shit that I enjoy having in my town, like public schools and the fire department and shit.

Pay your taxes and stop whining, fucking faggot. You should feel grateful to own property in a safe place with a functioning government.

It isn't the boomers. Deregulation of laws allows venture capital to own thousands of home. When Blackrock owns your american dream you lose. Any entity owning more than two homes should be taxed heavily. This frees up empty homes all over the country. Republicans are fucking you in the ass and fools keep voting for it.

$20 billion is nothing compared to the total US real estate value of over 55 trillion. Total foreign ownership of US real estate is less than 2%.

Whiny doomer faggots get the rope. I didn't need any help from my boomer parents to buy my first house. My mortage is less than 3%. Stop sucking at life.

>>543539817
The solution is more housing but public funded housing is an awful idea.

The real problem is over restrictive zoning laws, NIMBY karens blocking everything, regulations that massively increase costs and slow down construction. There are simply too many people who can hold up a project. I'm talking shit like cities where any random local resident has the power to force a company to perform a lengthy and expensive study to determine the exact average percentage throughout the year by which a new construction will block sunlight and cast a shadow on an adjacent park or property.

Generally speaking, with development costs of any houseproject in the US 40% of the cost is legal and admin overhead thanks to insane regulatory environment. The average in Europe is 20% believe it or not.

What we actually need is federal and state laws that expand powers to cut through insane red tape and that limit the interference of local governments in private development.
