How did Trump’s second term end up being such an abject failure? Despite having a unified Congress behind him, he has been extremely unsuccessful in converting his agenda into durable legislation. Picrel compares to other recent presidents having unified Congress behind them.

For me the big issue is immigration. This was such a motivating issue for so many voters last cycle and Trump has made literally no meaningful changes to our legislative policy on immigration. Not only will everything be erased on day 1 of the next democratic president, but he’s also soiled the issue for so many of his supporters. The Latinos fucking hate him now. He could have accomplished so much more. I know the senate filibuster is there, but honestly with a more tempered approach I have no doubt that you could have pulled 7 senators across the aisle to make some common sense baby steps in the right direction.

He's a fucking loser who surrounded himself with yesmen.
