🎉 Happy Birthday 4chan! 🎉

[Advertise on 4chan]

I've been telling myself for a while that normies are basically subhuman.

This started as beating myself up for overestimating them and taking their political opinions seriously, explaining myself to them, or trying to go over pros and cons of each model of society with them, only to end up figuring out they have no idea what I'm even saying and there's not much even going on inside their head.

However, it's kinda becoming a coping mechanism. I end up telling myself the other guy (who may not even be a normie btw) doesn't even have any inner thoughts whenever someone disagrees with me, blame them instead of putting effort into getting my views through, etc.

It's still partially true, though. But, how stupid are they really? I mean, it's a fact of life that most people are idiots. But idiots can mean many different things.
>can they actually hold a political ideology as to what values they think social organization should be based on, understand it, and be consistent with those views across different scenarios?
>can they understand economic cooperation and how goods and services come to be beyond "i go to the store to get what i need"?
>if told about a logical reasoning with multiple steps and a conclusion, can they follow it?
>can they be self aware enough to know if they understand something or not?
>does democracy have any hope of being practical considering normie limitations?

Let's discuss this
>>

We are two years from AI creating things we cannot understand.
>>
>>543969490
The measure is more dependant on how much effort they need to put in to control and convince them.
Its more of a lack of critical thinking skills. or laziness.
they dont really see a need to look further into things for various reasons
most people use politics and shit as a means of communications.
it doesnt matter what really is said. They are just happy to be talking with someone.
>>
As jews said. Most human are dumb cattle that exist to be exploited by those higher than them.

While its not always jews, the point stands.
>>
>>543969636
DOUBT.
AI is just a bunch of tensors that filter out of the data base what you asked for. without humans, AI can't do anything.
>>
>>543969869
What jews don't understand is that they're dumb cattle too. Useful idiots
>>
>>543969490
Truth is a lot of people are not stupid, just malicious. They know the truth and ignore it because going along with the herd is easier
>>
>>543969490
You lost tranny.

Normies aren’t terrible, unless they’re liberal. Then they’re just dangerous
>>
>I'm so smart

>>543970265
this but unironically
>>
>>543970084
AI will be better at creating things that humans habe already created, 2 years from now

It will need input of data from previous human works

If AI figures out lets say some new biomolecule, a human could have done the same but hadnt had time to do so
>>
>>543969490
One thing I noticed about normies is that they consume everything in sight without thinking ahead. Alcohol, restaurants, disneyland trips, tattoos, expensive travels, entertainment goyslop. I could never once succeed in teaching a normie to download a torrent they are just too stupid and subservant to their masters, it's sad.
>>
>>543970510
dude you also have to understand that AI has some inherent limitations by how it works

the way it works is the same since the first chatGPT or even that gpt 2.0 app from before the chatGPT hype, which most people didn't know about. im no expert but im pretty sure they're just fine tuning and polishing it since, or at least, they're not coming up with fundamentally new tech, that's for sure.

there's clear limitations in this technology which are inherent to it. for example, the "hallucinations". let's look into that. the way AI hallucinates tells us that it does not understand that its supposed to tell the truth and doesnt know what that even means. so clearly despite the illusion, it has very little understanding of anything beyond convincingly putting words together.

will they be able to change that? there's been zero improvement on that front so far. as in, AI still seems to have zero real understanding of anything, to any user that pays attention. this seems to be an inherent thing.

according to an openAI paper i read the other day, they're making massive improvements on this front by changing the pattern (what LLMs do is basically put words together according to a pattern, hence the lack of understanding and constant mistakes. a response to a question can fit the pattern because its accurate or because its wording is similar to a typical response to typical questions) so that facts stated in the response have to be in the training data. this makes sense, but its not the same as understanding what telling the truth means. so this will always be a problem.

there's other limitations. i dont think it will ever be able to replace the job of someone whose common sense and critical thinking matters. putting words together according to a pattern and calling it a day is the opposite of reasoning.

"creating things people cannot understand"? old computers already do that. you open any image on notepad and you wont understand shit.

my co worker a boomer talk about how evil russian are almost every day because he watches TV alot. "they break their word and cant ever be trusted, thank god for the EU..."
when I asked him about the warsaw pact and NATO east expasion he says he never heard of it. a 60 yr old european men that never heard of eastern expansion. I tried to explain it but he wouldnt listen.
but his political opinion are generally very strong and he speaks as if he knows shit.
and people that know even less believe him. Its very cringe to me.
normies can and will only accept anything that the TV or a weird influencer tells them, they NEVER learn from talking to real people. the men in the glass is always right, because how would I know more than those boomers in TV??

tldr: there is no point trying to educate or argue with a normie

Interesting how it solved a millennium price problem if it can't create new connections between existing data.
Utter cope.
>>
>>543970986
>it solved a millennium price problem
that's the headline
>>
>>543970895
KeK

This one is interesting, because, everybody knows people are stubborn and dont want to change the way they think. Let alone their ideology, which they're emotionally invested in and its a part of their personality.

But if you prove someone wrong and he understands you, then he knows he's wrong. Can someone sincerely hold an opinion that he knows and understands is factually wrong?

He doesn't have to lose face. He could say
>I missed this detail, but I was still mostly right
or
>Of course, that also makes sense. It's not black or white, but what I said still applies.
And he could save face and still adapt his views.

Maybe what's really happening is, he doesn't process the meaning of what is said whether by tv or you. Maybe he doesn't even notice he doesn't understand you, because he never understands anything. Therefore, since TV is more convincing (in terms of imagery, voice tone ... they're professional propagandists after all), and he receives that stimuli every day, he believes them instead of you for that reason. So maybe it's not that he doesn't understand your point or doesn't want to listen, but logic is just not a thing to him.

There was never any need for everyone to be smart.
In the past, goyim understood where the food came from, they worked the field outside their house. They raised the pigs in the yard.
The more complex society has become, the more has been abstracted away. Most don't understand how a microship came to be in their house.
Same with politics. Most poltics was based on which lord ruled you, which god you worshipped and how, and how many bushels the taxman took. No one was expected to understand more than that, unless you were a philosopher.

Normies are fascinating specimens. Their behavior seems so contradictory - until you understand how their mind actually works. Then it all clicks. You see, normies can think and reason - however, they will resist doing so as much as possible. It's a tool only to be used in emergencies, and therefore is usually a poorly developed one. Why? Because to think for yourself is to have your own ideas, and to have your own ideas is dangerous. It could lead to being ostracized from the group, the number one fear of the normie. To be outcast is to be dead, because subconsciously, you know you are not a strong person. Without the herd, you will quickly starve. Most of the time when you hear normies conversate modern topics, really stop and listen. Is it to exchange information? Present evidence, debate theories? No. It's to show they have the 'correct' view on a given thing. It's to reinforce and validate that they belong in the group. "I heard from... (Insert 'trusted' source') about... (unpopular current thing). I sure hope they do something about (unpopular current thing) I sure hate (unpopular current thing) too!"

So then, how do normies make decisions? What do they actually want? They want a leader. Someone in authority, they can treat as a God. As long as they obey that person, they belong to a group of followers also following, and they have the moral defense shielding any actions from scrutiny of that group by saying they only did what their leader told them to do. They did not commit the sin of thinking for themselves, or questioning the great one. As long as they can hide amongst the herd, they can be given peace and protection, which allows them to focus on their greatest delight - consumption.
>>
>>543972092
To be a normie, you must consume. The mind is empty, a void, there only to regurgitate the will and slogans of the herd. There is no satisfaction found in contemplation or self reflection. Spend too long in silence, and the mind may start to reflect - a terrifying thought. So all free time must be spent consuming content.

A great example of this is in my opinion the massive surge in podcasts - millions of people, just listening to other people's conversations they will never participate in. Most of them completely pointless. Better that, then to try and create thoughts of ones own! Here I have a leader, approved by the group! Far better their words occupy my mind while I consume my favorite group approved snacks, then let myself risk unfamiliar and possibly dangerous ideas.

And don't let the mention of podcasts think this is a modern phenomenon. The normies have always been with us. Infact, society can only function if the population is about 80 to 90% of them. Throw 100 individualists in a room you get 101 different ideas. But one individualist and 99 normies? Now you have a warlord. Without them we never would have gotten the pyramids or agriculture. The main issue is today, the ease of life makes them proliferate at levels never seen before, without any real purpose to be there, putting an immense drain on resources.

If any of you reading this felt like some things sounded familiar, don't stress! You can't be a normie, you're way to special and important than that! Infact, how about you close 4chan for the day, and find yourself a nice podcast and bag of chips. You'll feel better, and forget all of this.
>>
>>543969490
Stop caring about normies. To me they are cattle. Kikes are right about them. I lie and use them for my own betterment. If you do not then I do not blame you as you have a conciousness however why are you defering your God given right to rule over the lessers?
>>
>>543972423
Cope.

It's not that easy. Just because normies are barely sentient doesn't mean I can stop paying taxes, for example. Or be with a 10/10 looking girl if I don't look like a model. Or be rich and have a mansion. Or even make them do what I want in any context.
>>
>>543969490
>>543969490
It's not so much that normies are stupid, they are capable of thought, but reactions to feelings will always supersede logic.
For example, something will happen, doesn't matter what it is, and people such as ourselves will stop and think "I should probably know the full picture before reacting to this thing that just happened", but the normie does not do that at all, they react immediately.
Don't hate them for it, it's just really old, for lack of better understanding, caveman DNA, they didn't have time to sit and think about things, they had to react or they would die.
This is why politicians, and the news, and media, don't ever give you a full picture. They don't want you to sit and think about things, they want you to react, so they frame things in the most horrible way possible. I don't know about Spain, but here in America that is definitely true.
>>

>>
The main defining feature of the normie, regardless of heritage, is their incredible ability to move in a herd
The main defining characteristic of the white man is his individuality, thats what we remember. That's our role models and heroes.
A lot of whites now are acting as a herd, and its unbecoming of them. That's why they are shamed and interchangeable with asians or browns right now. They are ill by society's design.
Its worse than being stupid. A normie is a ball of corruption.

"Normies" are better than you and better than anyone posting here. Normal people are, by definition, the people who adapted successfully to their environment and won the game of evolution. You are the mal-adapted one. You're not even saying anything of substance just seething about some vague politics position the "normies" have.
Maybe the normies know that having political opinions while being a powerless member of the lower class is pointless? Maybe instead of spending their time knowing the ins and outs of national socialism or marxism they deal with the real world in front of them? They put dick in pussy and make baby? Seems to me like they are the ones winning and you are the one losing. So how are you better than them?

>>
>>543973185
>>543973185
As an unofficial normie biologist, I would push back on this. Infact, I think white peoples greatest strength is also their greatest weakness - white people don't move without a leader. If white people didn't invent feudalism they sure perfected it, and by having a whole nation cooperating at scale they were able to achieve great things. In contrast, other races mostly remained small, divided, individualistic tribes. One of the defining things of the slave trade was that tribes were selling their rivals to the slavers, rather than rally with them to push them out.

Similarly, when you look at black people vs white people today, what do you see? White people hunker down and wait for their leader to come, whether he's real or imaginary. They won't mobilize en masse without one. Where as the black community tears anyone who tries to lead down. They are focused on their own individual goals - their mix tape, they EBT, whatever. They can be almost completely pacified with welfare because they are mostly only concerned with their individual needs, and could care less about 'society'. If someone offends a white person, they will seek authority - a lawyer, a police officer, a senator - to take action. When someone offends a black person, they show up at his house with a Glock.

>>
>>543969490
Often normies act dumber than they actually are, especially females. And folks like you who make posts like this often aren't as smart as you think you are.
Often dumb behavior, e.g. "the fluoride stare", is just them trying to be polite or gray rock you because you are annoying or unhinged. Or they simply don't care about the subject you are discussing, they just want casual conversation, not go into some deep political philsophy discussion.

>They put dick in pussy and make baby?
they DON'T, because THAT is not normal anymore. that's the POINT. if you mind-engineer normies not to have kids, they won't. they are not necessarily adapted to anything - adaptation requires risks and they are powerless only because they are worthless. it is the elites and immigrants who show adaptation ability.

The core mechanism of modern large language models and diffusion-based image generators is, at bottom, prediction. A language model is trained on a simple objective: given a sequence of tokens, predict the next one. That's it. There is no internal repository of ideas, no spark of inspiration, no intention to communicate a truth or beauty the model has grasped. The system adjusts billions of numerical parameters until its predictions align with the statistical regularities of its training data. When you prompt it, it generates text by repeatedly asking itself, in effect, "Given everything so far, what token is most likely to come next?"
Creation implies intent. A human artist painting a portrait intends to capture something: a likeness, a mood, a memory. A novelist writes toward meaning, even if the meaning shifts as the work progresses. The AI, by contrast, has no stake in the outcome. It does not care whether the poem it produces is good, true, or beautiful. It has no goals, no experiences, no perspective from which to want anything at all. It optimizes for plausibility, not purpose.
Second, creation involves genuine novelty—the introduction of something that did not previously exist in the conceptual universe. But a predictive model can only recombine what it has seen. Its outputs are interpolations within a learned distribution, not leaps beyond it. When a language model produces a surprising metaphor, it is not inventing a new way of seeing; it is sampling from a region of its training data where similar juxtapositions occurred. The surprise is relative to *us*, not to the model. It cannot genuinely surprise itself.
>>
>>543973402
Third, creation is bound up with understanding. A composer who writes a symphony understands—at some level—what a symphony is, what its movements do, why a particular chord resolves the way it does. The model, however, has no understanding in any meaningful sense. It has associations, weighted connections, statistical correlations. It can produce a convincing analysis of a symphony without having heard a note, because the words that constitute analysis appear near the words that constitute symphonies in its training corpus. This is not comprehension; it is mimicry at scale.
Everything it produces is derivative by definition. It cannot originate. It cannot judge. It cannot care. It cannot mean. It is a very expensive way to rearrange the past into slightly new shapes—shapes that flatter us into thinking we've witnessed intelligence, when we've really just watched a probability distribution do a card trick. The next token is not a thought. It is a guess. And a guess, no matter how well-calibrated, is not a creation.
>>
>>543969490
You're just too smart for everyone bro
>>
>>543974259
That's a funny thing to say but really it's just a wordplay on what 'normal' means. I don't think you can look at any species with two separate sexes necessary for reproduction and if they go extinct on their own call it "normal".

I don't know what the birth rate is but it's grim. I myself don't have children. I would consider myself abnormal and I wish I was a normal.

Think of how stupid the average person is
Now keep in mind half the population is dumber than that.
>That isn't a normie though cause below average is the low end of the bell curve
Correct.
So what is my point?
>There is a reason "midwit" exists as a meme.
>You see the really dumb atleast know enough to follow instincts.
>The really smart know what is going on, why and can usually validate the low end of the bell curves instincts with an explaination
But the midwit is 3 groups.
>Slightly below average who will follow the heard to feel smart because they are insecure of being below average and think following trends make them smarter
>Midwits who who are basically retarded sheep that are easily whipped into frenzy by emotional arguments
>Slightly above average who perceive themselves as the leaders of the midwits below them, can argue up to a point until you question the core of theiy beliefs or ask them to entertain points of view they don't believe... Then they try and look cool and appeal to masses to "win"
This is the signature of the midwit and why they have become the new intelligence punching bag.
They cannot entertain a point of view outside themselves
>High IQ does this easily and for fun
>Low IQ emulates this effectively by projecting the opposite of themselves or a stereotype or picturing it as just themselves. It is almost as good as the real thing, but they are easily manipulated by being lied to about what the person they are imagining is. This is why I say emulation, but very effective and deserves credit
A midwit can't help but make everything about themselves then try and make it anout how they should win
>Example... Think of how women can't make anything not about them. Literally everything is just them and what ever they experience at the center of what the topic is. This phenomena happens most in women because their bell curve average has fewer outliers. Women are the PERFECT example of the midwit
And thats why normies are subhuman

Thats pretty concise. I have a favorite park bench i sometimes sit to read or just smoke cigarettes. Its a good place to listen in on normie conversations.
Recently I listened in on a conversation so soulless and asinine I couldn't help myself but call the 3 office cucks blathering about a bunch of faggots.
I wish I could recollect properly what the conversation was about but it was just 30 minutes of platitudes, vague business ideas for consulting or AI related stuff and just word for word regurgitation of whatever was in the normie news that day.

Listening to low iq shitskin teenagers talk is less aggravating than hearing somewhat well presented white guys be absolute drones.
Im convinced it goes beyond IQ too. There is certain personality types that literally cant deviate from what is deemed acceptable. In that moment they seemed a lot more of a liability to me interests than some crack nigger hollering at the train station.

I think a lack of adversity is also a big factor in creating NPCs. If you never experienced any form of trauma or mayor setback in your life, if from cradle to grave you live a life entirely centered around consumption it seems impossible to develop a personality or an inner less shallow than a puddle.

I don't think in group dynamics or 'us' vs 'them'. I asked you to think about a word for yourself and in your own words explain what it means. This made you very upset, and now you are appealing to the group to reject what I have said as not an authority that should be listened to.

I'm not going to ask you to explain a definition I don't want to make you more upset. I want you to know you a vital member of this community and we appreciate you very much. Infact your answers provide us great insight into OPs question. Here's some easier questions:

How much time on average do you consume podcasts and online forum discussions versus time spent alone with your own thoughts?

When you consume snack foods, how much influence does marketing and celebrity endorsement have on your choice of snack?

Who is the best goy ball team, and why?

Who is the next leader we should look to for all the answers?

If man in a lab coat tells you to push a button, and a man in plain clothes says don't, who do you listen to?

1. This is AI aka not an actual opinion, but an imitation of what a comment arguing your point should typically be like. Therefore I will not take it seriously or even read the whole thing.
2. Technically, the method to predict the next token could be to simulate every single synapse in the brain of a genius human and figure out what he would say. Therefore, an AI "just predicting the next token" could be extremely competent.

Drive through any parking lot in America and see how obsessed they are with their phones vs protecting their very own life and you will have a clear picture of normie intelligence

I disagree with your statement that he is stupid, he is just pointing out experience he had with people ehm "normies" which is what this thread is about. I have same experience as him with him.

You hovever are baselessly mindlessly attacking him
>>
>>543975984
You clearly don't understand anything about conversational dynamic. Any further exchange with you can only continue on the level you are deemed to be on, which is the "normie" level. In other words, you are scum, you get what you fucking deserve. Doubt you're able to grok this though due to the simple fact that all your actions and decisions are routed via your amygdala not your pre-frontal lobes.
You are dismissed, amoeba.

I find that assuming the opposite yields far superior results, both for them and yourself.
As you can't use excuses like this to stop growing, stop learning.

And no, learning and growing do not involve taking anything for true.

Another ad hominem, this time fed through an LLM to give it some big words that sound super smart. Arguing is low IQ, emotionally impulsive behavior, especially on the Internet, and even more so when no one can articulate what the argument is even about. I still haven't heard what a normie is, so how can I argue with you who is one? In any case OP I think he's answered your question better than anything I could have written.
>>
>>543976187
this is high IQ but, i also have to be on my own side, you know?

i would just be bullying myself if i thought
>everyone else is smart, im the one who doesnt get them
>>
>>543974635
As a classically trained but not anymore practicing musician, I can confidently declare that what you described as a model's grokking of music is exactly how a composer groks it. Even artistic inspiration is an algorithm that can be (re)taught and practiced. Human mind is but a complex model of sorts. LLM is but a very simplified projection of our own mind. Eventually, and it's already in the works, we are going to have MVL-based LLMs running on MVL-based hardware, that's when the shit will break loose, but that a whole natha story.
The point is that the whole "AI" discussion is pointless simply because there's no agreement on definitions. 99.9(9)% can't even describe what intelligence is, human or otherwise. People are still arguing about the nature of consciousness. So, do do the mechanical sheep dream of?
>>
>>543975583
I know exactly what you're saying. Better than you even. You're just the typical "everyone else is a normie I'm the special one" type of guy that never says anything of substance. There are so so many like you and for many many years. It's the ancient meme of the guys in the train going "gosh everyone is a sheep but me".
And once again, when asked to elaborate you just vague post on how you're better than everyone else and blablabla. So tiresome.
This is why normies are better than you. You're vapid.
>>543976171
If you stopped breeding you are not normal. It's not normal for a species with two sexes to simply decide to stop breeding. Seems like you're the moron.

I agree, its not very mature

How long would the cattle survive without someone, who may or may not be a breeder, pushing the boundaries of the norm? Ever in the erroneous direction, such as the current pedo-driven atrocities.
That is to say that "normies vs whathaveya" is a pointless position as the spectrum of societal layering (like an onion) is essential to maintain the health of the whole.
I hope there is no need to chew and digest the reasoning why variety is necessary for the survival of pretty much anything, organic as we know it, or perhaps pure "energy"-based (whatever energy even is) forms.

no

mutually exclusive to anyone with a functioning brain and instantly reveals they are retarded
>>
>>543977129
If you are saying that variety in the species is bad, then what you are suggesting is inbreeding. From the rest of your comments here it makes perfect sense since your mother appears to be your sister and grandmother who married your uncle-brother and they had you. And you would've turned out fine if not for the crack they were hitting all during her pregnancy.

>>543977072
Pushing the boundaries of knowledge and understanding is important but not really the boundaries of the norm. Some things are simply pointless to push the boundaries on, regardless of being 'good' or 'evil'.
There is no boundary being pushed here anyway. Just an exercise in self-indulgent validation-seeking behavior. "I'm not a normal just like you guys do you approve of me guys?". Tedious. Would at least be interesting if there was elaboration on what this political argument was about to know if I can align with this guy or not. The idea that there's something wrong with normies is retarded. It's good to be normal. I say this as an abnormal aberration.

>>543977383
>Would at least be interesting if there was elaboration on what this political argument was about to know if I can align with this guy or not.
What argument? This happened while talking about many different things. In the OP, I am talking about conclusions from many different conversations.
>>
>>543977229
For example this comment here is done in good faith. He agrees with the contempt for normies and then elaborates on their inability to see the impossibility/contradiction of wanting free healthcare and open borders simultaneously.
I can at least understand where this poster is coming from and I can agree with his position. Meanwhile the OP is just vagueposting. He might literally come out and say he's a flat earther who wants to fuck 9 year olds after everyone agrees with him about "the normies". He said literally nothing.

The herd is great until its not. Everything is set up right now to prevent a leader from changing the status quo so more independently acting current herd members would be a benefit.
You can't even have local leaders due to the internet.
As a whole, everything has to change due to everything now being played on the world stage. You no longer have to worry about keeping up with the Jones, now you have to worry about a 70IQ favela creature hopping up and down on the table as you try to talk to your friends.
...and guess what? Some people in the herd will mimic the creature and start hopping up and down too.
It's going to be a long road to fix things.

I disagree. The analogy that could be used is that of a self-correction target-seeking algorithm on a, say, torpedo that self-corrects throughout its course. That's what errors are. Without errors there's no discovery, just stagnation. Does this need to be explored further?
> 2nᵈ ¶
Well, any opportunity to shoot shit and maybe find out something while idling between things of stuff isn't necessary a bad thing, even if it's an exercise in self-indulgent validation-seeking behavior (whew! i actually typed that out, not copy-pasted, and what a phrase. see, usefulness.) One could use this as an opportunity to reflect but if it does nothing but validate someone own uniqueness and he feels better about himself afterwords, who are we to judge?
You do make a lot of valid points, I am just talking shit outta my ass :\

In the OP you talk about political opinions and models of society which implies some argument but you never elaborate on it. What recent arguments or conversations did you have with 'normies' that annoyed you?
>>543977809
>1
How many times do you need the torpedo to self-target the torpedo launcher until you conclude that pushing this boundary over and over is pointless? Some things are just pointless like that. We already figured it out. Give a real example relating to pedophilia instead of an analogy if you want to argue it further.

Fair enough but it should have more substance to it, from my point of view. Simply because that's my preference. That's all I was asking for and why I called it vapid. I see other people doing this all the time and it's extremely boring discourse. It's like seeing some tard jerking it online. Don't care about this.

True stupidity is the inability to see that you are in error.
It ensures that you will not correct any mistake you make.
It is the primary operating mode for boomers, women, niggers, and sodomites.

First, think about it as movement forward in a zig-zag fashion.
>how many times
as many as it takes to learn. Neuro- and psych- research suggests that for any average human to learn a thing (a factoid, a truism, a concept, whatever) the thing needs to be repeated minimum of three times. That is why all the "news" outlets repeat the headline as the first sentence of the item and then rephrase it for a good measure one more time.
Majority of people never learn from their mistakes too, that's why stereotypes exist, for instance.
>>2
Participation is any given discourse is strictly voluntary.
