The job market is so bad I'm honestly debating on joining the military.Would a navy recruiter dislike it if I was honest and said I'm only wanting to join the navy to use it for my own selfish self development? It just seems like joining the military is the best way to chase my dreams. Not that I necessarily want to be a zogbot. But it would be nice for the military to train me towards my dream for free
>>544221128just say youre joining for the thai pussy like everyone else
>>544221128As long as you dont say its because you wanna kill people they dont give a fuck
>>544221128>The job market is so bad I'm honestly debating on joining the military. That's the psyop, and it's not new
>>544221128The vast majority of non-retards who join the military do it for skill development/certs/college tuition, no recruiter will give a shit if you say that's why you want to join. Do some research beforehand, you can select a list of jobs you want to apply for rather than doing what most idiots do and just enlisting and taking whatever job they give you (and they will likely give you a shit job that grants you nothing in the long term if you let them). If you do join then remember: it's a job. It's about developing your own skills and benefiting yourself, not about making friends or being a hero or whatever. Don't be the retard who ends up holding the bag, focus on yourself.
>>544221128Recruiters will instruct you in which lies you need to tell to get in.
>>544221548Yeah I've already been doing a little research. The skills I most want to acquire would be aviation. Both planes and helicopters. And also foreign language acquisition. It seems nice that they're badically going to pay for my education and upon completing it my paycheck will increase.
>>544221128The navy pays like ass, anon. The market affects everyone, including military. The whole fiasco with the Abrams should've been your wakeup call that the navy is currently under exceedingly incompetent logistics officers to the point of failing to provide basic rationing. If you join the navy, you will be out at sea in squalid conditions being a sitting duck for Iranian missiles. You seriously want to risk becoming permenantly physically disabled or die just for minimum wage? Your value is that low? Do you know how many veterans are homeless? Because it's a great many of them.
>>544223970>Your value is that low?I'd like to believe not but in the eyes of society yes.Like I said in my original post, I don't have any delusions that I'm doing this for patriotism and I don't feel like I have any obligation to my country.I would only do it because the military will pay for college, and it will train me in skills I want to develop while I'm employed with them. The only reason I was leaning towards the navy was because I liked its whole "see the world" message and also that it apparently offers the best highly specialized technical training for engineering.
>>544221128>As long as you dont say its because you wanna kill people they dont give a fuckmilitary has always been a welfare program for NEETS, go for it, enlistment is up since the war, counterintuitively
>>544221128HR is retarded and doesn't understand what your job even isContact former workmates and ask them to recomend youI sent 125 job applications and got 5 interviews out of that 2 job offers (one of them was shit)I contacted 6 guys I used to work with to set me up4 interviews and 3 job offersfuck HR right in the bussy
>>544221128>The job market is so bad I'm honestly debating on joining the military. As you can see with the Texas Tower Shooting by Charles Whitman, one motivated Marine can do a lot of a damage.Like Snowden, its amusing to think what one could do within the system to expose the jew.
>>544224403You do realize that even with military benefits paying for a college tuition, it doesn't change how the colleges are still scams that will not connect you with people looking for new hires in the related fields? Unless your plan is to straight up teach the subject you're studying at the specific college you plan to go to, you're not getting a job lined up because that stopped being a thing that exists for a long time. Realistically, if you join the navy, the absolute best case scenario is that you get paid for your time of service and then you're back where you are currently; it'll be nothing more than a brief interruption unless you plan to make the military a career (and again, this is assuming you never have to see active combat, which is extremely unlikely considering how the U.S. is currently in an active war requiring the frequent deployment of naval vessels).
>>544221128What is your dream?
>>544221128kike propaganda.>look guys, I'm just like you - poor and nowhere else to turn to>I'm gonna join the militaryFuck you, kike.

>>544221128If a recession hits my plan is to become a travel vlogger where I live among various tribes in South America and Africa and document their way of life. I plan on visiting the Himba tribe first. Wish me luck bros.
>>544224932>Unless your plan is to straight up teach the subject you're studying at the specific college you plan to go to.Thats a definite possibilityI don't really have a dream career so much as I have an obsessive desire for the pursuit of knowledge and skills. The first purpose of a degree for me isnt to find a job, its for the knowledge. >>544224861I have a lot of goals>Learn 7 language>achieve a PhD in mechanical engineering>want to learn to fly both planes and helicopters, and to own my own private aircraft>want to live around the worldThere are some others but they are less associated with the military and are more for creative pursuits. Like I want to learn to draw, I want to make my own video game. That said, the military can seemingly help me accomplish like half of my life dreams.>>544224995I'm not a fan of the juden either anon. I denounce the talmud and the torah.
>>544221128Anon you don’t have to give a fucking reason. It’s not a job interview. You literally just enlist.
Today was my first day as a CO. I shit you not when I tell you that I've never gotten a job so easily before.
>>544221128>joining the militaryHonestly this is a good path. I'm a military veteran and the military forces you to embrace the habits that will lead to success after service. You become a tool of U.S. foreign policy while you serve, but in exchange they force you to become stronger, smarter, and more disciplined than you ever thought possible. Then, on top of that, they give you some of the best training in whatever your field is.Do it, join the navy. It will be harder than anything you've ever done, but it will pay off.
>>544221128>Would the recruiter be upset if I'm honest.No. They have a quota to fill. They don't care if you're joining to frag people or butt rape guys. They need bodies.
>>544221128Most people join for the gibs. Besides tuition assistance you can get free or low cost healthcare for life. That's extremely valuable now that health insurance is becoming unaffordable for many.
>>544221128im planning to try to become a pigger next year. fuck the job market, and fuck the military too.
>>544225933You don't need the military to learn any of that stuff, and people join the military because they're morons with no options.>learn 7 languages Install a language app and start with one. Can also do the brute force method of just immersing yourself in a community that already speaks it to force yourself to learn it faster. There are a million spics in the country that will be more than happy to practice Spanish with you only for the sheer fact that many of them don't speak English. >PhD in mechanical engineeringWhat for? Bragging rights?>fly planes and helicopters Helicopters are actually easier to learn and you can take courses for those that aren't part of major flight schools as well as outright purchase the craft for personal use without a lot of liscensing if you have a metric ton of cash. For planes, yeah you'll have to go to a flight school to learn those simply because it's nearly impossible for a regular citizen to get access to those.>want to live around the worldWhich part of the world? And for how long? This is the worst time in the history of our country for international traveling considering the fuel crisis going on. >I want to learn to drawPick up a pencil and a piece of paper and start practicing your basic shapes. Pull out references for what you're attempting to learn how to draw, whether it's still life or cartoon characters or portraits or whatever, and give it a go. You have access to the internet, it really shouldn't be difficult for you to find techniques to help you get started with a quick browser search and I have no clue why you're considering enlisting in the military to learn a skill that you can instantly start learning just after taking a trip to the dollar store to pick up pencils and a notepad. The thing stopping you from learning all of this has nothing to do with opportunities for education; it's a motivation problem.
>>544221548the promises of a recruiter have no bearing on the reality of your time in the service, with the exception of physicians or other highly specialized fields
>>544221128You won't be missed
>>544227962>Install a language app and start with one.Already in the process of that>What for? Bragging rights?Yes. And it would make life a lot easier if I could pursue the bachelors and the masters degree for basically free.>Helicopters are actually easier to learn and you can take courses for those that aren't part of major flight schools as well as outright purchase the craft for personal use without a lot of liscensing if you have a metric ton of cash.Thats the problem, I don't have a metric ton of cash. Learning to fly helicopters also usually costs about 3 times as much as learning to fly planes.>Which part of the world? And for how long?Asia. I'd like to see and experience the way life has developed on the opposite side of the world. I'd also like to experience europe as well but I'm more interested in asia.> I have no clue why you're considering enlisting in the military to learn a skill that you can instantly start learning just after taking a trip to the dollar store to pick up pencils and a notepad.I didn't say that I want to join the military to learn to draw, just that its one of my life goals. and I do already practice it.Its not that joining the military is something I want to do. But I don't see anyone paying me or letting me live for free while I work on these skills. If I had some way to just live and pursue development of all of these without accruing lifelong debt, I'd do it.

I wouldn't recommend joining any branch right now, but i guess its better than being drafted in the near future, and being shoved into the meat grinder as infantry.
>>544221128>Would a navy recruiter dislike it if I was honest and said I'm only wanting to join the navy to use it for my own selfish self development? They're counting on it, it's their whole pitch. Of course they're going to rug pull you and put you in the mess but that's how it goes.
>>544221128>Would a navy recruiter dislike it if I was honest and said I'm only wanting to join the navy to use it for my own selfish self development? They expect that. >>544221128>>544221548Yeah bro ur life is really going to change at 30k a year lmao
>>544234425I AM considering air force as well I've just been leaning towards navy so far for their "see the world" messaging and their high tech engineering training. But I'm still doing my research so I'm not locked in yet. The navy apparently has grueling 12 hour work days when out at sea. and thats definitely a strong negative to the navy. Air Force having a much higher quality of life is definitely a strong positive. Especially if I can still get development in most of the skills im interested in.
>>544221128They WANT you to join for your own selfish self development. There are several systems in place within the military specifically for you to selfishly develop yourself.

>>544221128Im going to give you the cheat code to your goals in aviation.Join the Air National Guard.Depending on your state they will pay 100% of your college. Pick a career field that has a bonus or something that you would like, you are guaranteed that career field not like active duty Air Force where they put you where they need you.Find a college that has an aviation program like Kansas State, Ohio State, North Dakota State etc.Become a pilot or you can go maintenance whatever you are looking to do.As soon as you complete basic and tech school you come home and only do 1 weekend a month and 2 weeks annual training. You can go to college immediately instead of having to do 4 years active duty.Once you get your bachelors you are eligible to apply for a pilot position in the guard. If you complete a pilot program as part of your college degree, you will have all sorts of opportunities to fly and eventually be an airline pilot if you want.Starting pay right now is about 125k, after 10 to 15 years you will be making 300-400k per year. You are welcomet. Airline Pilot
Imagine joining the Navy and being stuck on a ship with all those filthy retarded shit skins and their overflowing toilets with with shitskin shit. Kek

>>544236737This sounds very interesting and has made me consider air force much more likely thank you.I had been looking into flight school lately just because aviation seemed like such a good job if you could get it. and I've seen pilots say its more or less a trade so I thought it might be needing new pilots.Come to find out its got a surplus of low skill entry level people looking to develop their career. Same as basically everywhere else. Thats when I saw that military experience is often prized when you're looking for a career as an airline pilot, and that if you are in the military, they basically pay for you to get pilot training.
>>544221128Join ICE.
>>544235637You mentioned earlier you wanted to go with Naval aviation. This would set you up on the outside if you stayed in that community, unlike what other posters said. Some dudes were right when they said you'll be surrounded by annoying young fuckers, at least until you leave Pensacola. Your first six-months to a year in will be pretty regulated. Basic is basic, you should go into it expecting no freedom, choice, or privacy. Enlisted aviation maintainers all go to Pensacola, where you'll get more freedom, but not too much more, just enough to let people get in trouble. Depending on where you go for your first set of orders will dictate how shitty or not so shitty your life will be starting out. If you go AIMD, you'll be ships company I- level maintenance. Ships suck, but you'll chill in what might be in an air conditioned compartment depending on your rating and what you're working on. If you go FRC, it's land based I- level maintenance. Chill as fuck, easy hours, plenty of liberty, plenty of opportunities to do extra shit like college. Then there's squadron. O-level maintenance. You'll start out doing the dirty work in the line-shack. Servicing oils and fluids and washing aircraft. There is a good chance you'll spend the first year to two not even working within your rating if you end up at a squadron. Whichever path you end up on, eventually you'll start working on your apprentice/journeyman. At E-4 you can start working on your CDI, and at E-5 you can start working on your QA quals. These quals are what you'll work for regardless of your maintenance level or the aircraft you work on. Getting those quals will set you up to work aviation on the outside. You have to wait three years to get tuition assistance for college, but you can use the USNCC to work towards an associate degree whenever.

>>544237813Being an airline pilot is life on easy mode. It takes alot of work up front and shitty pay for years but when you get to where I am, it pays off.I fly 12 days a month on average. My take home pay is about $23,800 after taxes per month. On my vacation months I only work usually 4 days maybe 6 and still get that pay. I get 4 vacation months per year.So on average I work 116 days per year and take home $285k just working the minimum. The company also puts 18% of my pretax income in 401k. Its called defined contribution so it is not a match and does not come out of my pay. The amount is just calculated off your gross. So that is just over $6000 per month that they put in my 401k and you dont have to put in anything if you dont want to. You wont find that in any other career I know of.
>>544238284My problem is that I have pretty bad myopia and I need eye surgery before the navy would consider me eligible to be a pilot.Thats assuming I even join the navy too, as the argument for air national guard with the pilot above has me questioning any active duty roles anymore since it kinda seems like I can get the benefits I want without needing to make like shitty for a while with active duty roles. The navy technical schooling does seem cool, and everything I hear about the navy besides the gay jokes is that they produce the finest engineers and tech specialists. The quality of life of navy sailors is still a big question for me though.
