Having the the arm raised and dropped for third time with the bell ring is alternative match end that you don't see much vs. pinfall, submission, or even the (double) count-out. If a wrestler has a history of ending matches with it, you could then credible get heat off of the challenger fighting out of it (and tension of the arm sequential arm raises leading up to the comeback) or having the valet (if they are in a tag-team, the partner) interrupt the third arm-raise.
