Is professional wrestling dying?
>>18740754Fucking obviously.
>>18740754AEW is. But that's not professional wrestling.
Has been for 25 years
>>18740754patented slopdown sliderising tides lift all boats but in this case the dire state of WWE is a boat anchor around everyone's necks. WWE is killing what little mainstream appeal pro wrestling has left.
Wrestling has been dead for 10 years at the absolute minimum
>>18740754>Is professional wrestling dying? This should have been obvious to everyone once it became clear that the prime demographic for modern wrestling is childless, wifeless men in their early to mid 40's.
>>18740754unironically a recession indicator
>>18740795The TV ratings?
wrestling is a joke if a person like raja can beat on a wrestler, IT'S OVER
>>18740795people are going to be shocked when they find out the jobs numbers have been getting cooked and everything goes tits up at once with no warning lol
>>18740754>professional wrestling>wwelol
>AEW does another shit rating>le wrestling is dying thread gets postedEvery time
>>18740807It means that millennials, who are predominantly the consumers of wrestling and who are hitting their 40s are checking out either due to financial reasons or something else
It, like everything else, is moving into an extreme nicheness period on the internet. The powers that be want that ultimately killed because it doesn't work in the idea of everything being on an app, and ultimately, only one app.I think these ratings for both companies are more an effect of what's going on in America right now. It's downright bad & I'm starting to believe everyone that almost everyone around us just goes home & stares at a wall, no entertainment, nothing.
>>18740754Everything everywhere is dying. Wrestling, movies, TV shows, comics, games. Entertainment is becoming too expensive.
Wrestling's been the same shit for decades. Turn on WWE? Old WWE wrestlers from 20 years ago all over the place. Turn on AEW? Old WWE wrestlers from 20 years ago all over the place. And the new guys are fucking charisma vacuums. And their solution to that is to get college athletes, most of whom have had every ounce of personality drained out of them years ago.
>>18740837i dont even enjoy video games anymore. America is in its black pill arc. everything feels so soulless. wage slave for the rest of your life, never owning a home, or having a family
>>18740837>>18740871kek in a fucked up way this is the only reason i still watch gay ass wrestling. get stoned or drunk, watch retards fake fight, embrace oblivion. the real marks are the ones who have any sincere belief things will change any time soon.
>>18740754Pro wrestling is for freaks like me and was never supposed to be popular.Women and gays demanding fashion shows/catwalks and calling it wrestling is what “killed” wrestling as they realize it was never for them to begin with.
Wrestling always goes to sleep between summer and the rumble
>>18740754Lucha seems to be on an upswing, which is funny because Mexico is poorer than the other two countries that have national wrestling and I can't imagine the tariffs have been great for their economy
No television in general is.
>>18740795This tbqh
>>18740774smackdown got their lowest rating ever
>>18740795So true sister I can't wait for all the recession pop bops!
>>18740871>>18740891Do what the other guy says, enjoy heaven on earth while you can. Even if someone calls you an idiot for enjoying wrestling, laugh at them. Hope you two do well compared to the others on this hellhole. Just imagine, just imagine if everyone else is wrong and THIS, this was the absolute best it could be, no afterlife, this.
>>18740754Nah just AEW
>>18740754BasedI want all wrestling to die.
>>18740774smackdown and raw are in a freefall lil brolet's face it, without the rock, wrestling is not popular
>>18740754Yrs
>>18740754Perhaps
>>18740754hopefully
This is always a slow part of the year for WWE but they'll pick back up in January AEW is finished, enjoy it while you still can
>>18740754Literally everything is. the world the (((boomers))) created will soon be upon us
>>18740754I think it's tv watching further declining. Streaming platforms don't release true numbers, and more and more people are consuming content online only. Why watch hours of a show with ads and filller content when you can get all the best relevant bits in a few mins on your phone. I like AEW, but I've never paid for a PPV ever. I'll find a stream or watch a replay and skip past the bits I'm not interested in. Did the same for WWE until they left the ppv model.
