I haven't, in fact I don't think I've seen any GanPro at all. Would you recommend anything specific from it?

This was an excellent match, and a genuinely surprising ending... but not an unwelcome surprise. Suzuki's DDT work has been a breath of fresh air.
>>
Suzuki should do more stuff like this. He's still got some agility to him and I think it's more convincing than just being a straight-up Elbow Trade Merchant guy.
>>18751464
I'm not the biggest MAO guy, nor am I as knowledgeable on DDT as most, but I wasn't super surprised with the result OR thrilled with the match. I agree that Suzuki outside of NJPW has been pretty great, though. His match vs. Ueno was fantastic and I think especially the match against Kenoh was a testament to how great of a character worker is still despite his age,
>>
God fucking damn. This is one MEAN headbutt.

Wouldn't you say they do with Ueno too? Granted I was pretty shocked at that result, so I guess I see your point.

>>
>>
I don't know what busted Hachisu open during this match, but man it looked nasty. Cut right in the eye.
>>
>>18751619
>His match vs. Ueno was fantastic
NTA i think their match is a bit underrated but is one of my favorite of the year, but Ueno had a really good run even if DDT loves to make him suffer and endure
Also I was surprised by MAO not getting back the belt after that much hype but I'm one of those people who like Suzuki in DDT and I want him to stick around more.
If he wasn't old and a freelancer I would had loved to see some kind of Suzuki-gun in DDT or a temporary tag team.
>>
>>18753872
I agree fully. Suzuki's weirdly underrated on here because of the whole murder grandpa reputation, which is an understandable gripe. He's really one of the best character worker heels of the "current" or at least active generation.
>>
Thank you for producing the only thread of value on this entire board.
>>
>>18753895
don't want to go off-topic since it's a webm thread but i hate the murder grandpa shit but he does a solid work for a man of his age
>>
>>18752132
Man, it's bonkers to me how big is Ueno right now.
Sad for him that he wasn't born with 5 cm more but if he can maintain that mass and build more in the next year or so I'll be very impressed.
>>
That's all for me for today! Tomorrow I'll be back with more GLEAT, the Fujita vs. Tanahashi request from last week and more action from the King's Road!
>>18753936
Thank you for popping in! I wouldn't be doing my threads on here without people like you hanging out.

I'm back! Thank you all for keeping us bumped! I'm starting off with highlights from GLEAT Ver. 93 and CIMA's 28th anniversary, and then move on to the older-school stuff.

Regarding what we talked about next week with Nakajima not meshing the way he should in GLEAT, I wonder if his constant matchups with Izuchi are just because he's the guy that doesn't complain when Finnerman just wants to get his shit in.

I don't, I haven't even seen the match. I'm really unfamiliar with AJPW/NOAH in the early 2010s. If you're lucky I'll have time for that tonight, but I can't promise anything.

Next up is a request from last week, Fujita vs. Tanahashi from 5.6.04. I love Fujita's grin starting this off, like "YEAH YOU WANNA FUCKING PLAY?" Love him or hate him he's got the aura on point.

>>
>>18760374
that's a shoot kick to the head
>>
>>18760569
That's Fujita for you. Wasn't the first time he'd do that, wouldn't be the last. And speaking of shoot kicking people in the head...
>>
>>
>>
I really like Kawada's sell here.
>>
God this has to SUCK to do.
>>
>>
>>
>>18760541
Is it odd to call this rivalry underrated?

Sure, Kawada vs Kobashi gets almost universal praise but it lives in the shadow of Kawada vs Misawa and Kobashi vs Misawa. Also it doesn't help that AJPW never booked these two as a formal feud, it seemed to just happen on occasion, rather than two enemies hurtling towards an inevitable blood feud.

Maybe I'm just wrong...
>>
>>18761249
>Is it odd to call this rivalry underrated?
Yes and no, I guess? In the same way that it both would and wouldn't be odd to call Taue underrated. They're two of the undeniable GOATs, so of course it's good, but it can still be underappreciated.
Personally, as much as it feels like a crime to say, I always sort of felt like these two UNDERdelivered in their encounters. I think they both wrestle matches that're better suited for different opponents, which is why they work so well in tags since they each have a partner to fill in those blanks.
>>
DECAPITATED.
>>
>>
GAAAAAAAAAAAAMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN
>>
Next up's SUWAMA and Shiozaki's first singles match from 18.04.2013. King's Road posting will continue momentarily, but I guarantee you there will be no shortage of stiff shots and sawdustings.
>>18759435
Herer you go!
>>
>>18761749
The framerate is sadly a bit choppy on this, but I'm just happy that it's available to begin with.
>>
Says a lot about this match that this is probably the least air Shiozaki gets on a suplex.

Yeah, archived.moe has been down for a while, not sure if they ever archived webms. I use (and as far as I know the only archive covering /pw/) is archive.palanq.win. Just searching for "weekend webm thread" as a subject will get you essentially everything I ever made since the archive was started in 2022. Searching for two wrestler names as a filename is a good way to find specifics. Handy if you ever miss my threads and want to build up a collection!
