It is some kind of money laundering?
Genuine question
>>
>>18791200
a way to claim there's stakes to a meaningless match
>>
why did Moxley say
>$250,000 each
in that promo in the catering tent if it's $500,000 which would be $100,000 per person on the winning team?
>>
>>18791213
>being so bad at booking you have to pretend the winner gets $500k because it's the only way you can introduce any stakes but everybody knows its fake and nobody's really winning $500k and this "cash prize" will lead to nothing and never be spoken of again so it's all pointless
grim

He's giving them all the money upon victory because he lives well within his means.
>>
>>18791272
Split it by faction. Bucks get half and Death Riders get half.

ah okay missed that part, thanks
I'm a boomer but Kamala told a fun story of when he first broke into the business. He says they told him not to smarten his wife/family up so he didn't. His wife was at a show where he won a battle royal for whatever, like $10,000 or something.
After the show she thinks he's bullshitting her and hiding the money. Think she started hitting him and shit lol. It was then he said he had to smarten her up. The way he told it was better of course.

Tony's prize money gimmick is stupid, pointless, and nobody likes it.

what the fuck is Tony doing
>>
>>18791200
Someone told Tony that the territories used to do this gimmick for battle royals and stuff, so like everything rip off from the past by them and sometimes WWE, they just slap a cash prize onto random matches in 2025 and think it's gonna boost interest somehow. Problem is the amount doesn't mean or change anything, the money isn't attached to any ongoing storyline, doesn't lead at all to some sort of storyline or gimmick change, and he's done like a dozen of them just this year.
>>
>>18791200
Tony got tired of people asking what the story was
>>
I don't remember who did it, but in JCP or WCW (don't remember which) someone ran a gimmick where if you could beat them within the time limit you'd win $7,000. I only remember the amount because what a strange amount. Why not say a more normal number like $5,000? If it's all fake anyway, why not say $10,000? $7,000 was just such a weird amount.
>>
>>18793348
this gimmick only means something when it’s a heel putting up the money that he can beat the face as a last ditch effort to get another shot, then generally the face threw money to the crowd to get over

tony has no idea how or why anything happens in wrestling, he has no idea what payoffs are except that one time he had hla carrying the feud
>>
>>18791200
In Kayfabe Tony is paying the winners of these matches with the Bucks' money. That's why they're bum ass niggas now.
>>
>>18791200
It's to give the marks an illusion that the people are wrestling for a big price and have some motivation to do so other than showing up to work for the money that they already get paid to put over the guy they scripted to win the match.
This reminds me of that time Kevin Steen(Owens) shat on himself talking about Cornettes ROH booking cause he didn't figure out why he'd try to book a match with a 1000 dollar price money on it or country v country feuds.
>>
>>18791200
They are offering more money than viewers lmao
>>
>>18793302
I didn't realize Hayter came back literally no one said anything about it
>>
>>18793302
kek how big of a shitter are you to be female and not in this match
>>
>>18791200
It's literally pointless. It only worked way back when people thought wrestling was real and you got shit like Vince paying for the million dollar man to take limos everywhere and have first class flights and accommodation.
>>
Window dressing.
>>
Unironically it's because Tony can't book a story line to save his life, so he uses this.

The ironic part is that Tony doesn't know how to run a company, so he throws more and more money at it hoping it'll become a successful company.

Excited to see how much he'll burn before he gets a clue and hires real help.

>>18793302
He spammed the All-Star match gimmick to death over the past month or two so now he's shifting over to the money one

>/pw/ is full of retards who think the winners of these matches actually receive the money
>>
>>18791200
The first Edge & Christian vs Hardy Boyz ladder match was over a bag of money.
>>
>>18791200
I assumed it's to play in to the Bucks story of them being dirt poor and eventually becoming rich again
>>
>>18793977
I bet it had a build

It was over a manager, the money was a bonus

losing to sasha is going to skyrocket her career, trust me bro
>>
>>18793977
so it happened one time and not twice a month?
>>
I hope these guys have smartened up their wives or husbands. If they didnt there’s gonna be hell to pay when they come home without the money.
>>
are they presented with giant novelty checks afterward?
>>
>>18793974

You might have gotten spiked on your head a few too many times

I don't think people genuinely think there's 500k on the line, what people are asking is why the fuck is this a match stipulation when it's clear the money doesn't exist, without a money stipulation it's a heatless match.
