When launching new shows like Shotgun Saturday Night Vince said he wanted it to be 'in the Memphis style'. When NJPW had its resurgence, Gedo, who was sole booker of singles while Jado did tags and multi-mans, publically stated his booking style was based off Memphis. WWF King of the Ring was based off of Lawlercs gimmick. The current tag wrestling style is based off of how Memphis did it. The biggest podcaster got the base of his knowledge from Memphis. Current announce teams are still often based off King and JR. Memphis angles are still done to this day.
