Would a homeless gimmick get over?
>>18810430The Brooklyn Brawler was hella over.
>>18810430It'd pop me
you tell me
>>18810430Homeless Jimmy XPW
>>18810430The logic of the gimmick falls apart when the viewer wonders “how isn’t he getting paid from this” or “how does he get to the shows” I would assume
>>18810462only on AEW/WWE since those companies actually have money. stuff like >>18810460 actually makes sense
>>18810430>WWEID released Jordan Oasis before he revealed what he kept in his hobo backpackEvil fucking company
Wasn't that Corbin's gimmick at one point that got super over?>>18810462Nah, he gets paid, just not enough to get a roof over his head. He has a family "back home" to support. Or maybe he gets jumped and mugged every episode. Or the bosses find reasons not to pay him. Or he doesn't actually work there and everything he does is 'unofficial'. Plenty of easy ways that are good enough for pro wrestling.
bum ass corbin was gaining traction, maybe he could've lost his house if it kept going
>>18810430Not really no.If you are in a major promotion, everyone knows you are likely making more money than 99% of the attending working audience so the audience can’t empathize at all. This can only work in literal backyard mudshow promotions. That being said, it’s a gimmick with a very very low ceiling.
>>18810462>how does he get to the showsHe’s a hobo like in the Great Depression, so he gets train rides everywhere >how isn’t he getting paid from thisHe gets paid but keeps spending the money on crack
