Keeping ESPN+ at the same time as making ESPN Unlimited, along with keeping all of the latter stuff on cable, has got to be one of the most confusing things I've ever seen for consumers. They should have just bit the bullet & merged ESPN+ into the new app & just lost that money.

But gotta make sure those stockholders get muh dividends or else.

They know that it's confusing, but there are contractual reasons why the ESPN+ brand has to continue to exist for a while longer. It will be phased out eventually.
