my first show and marigold starts crumbling...
I'm sad, bros
mirai is truly satoru sayama's creation
>【Marigold】MIRAI to leave Marigold at the 10/13 Korakuen event. Struggling with lack of results: "I wonder if I can once again achieve the things I wanted to do, the things I had given up on."
>Women’s pro wrestling group “Marigold”’s MIRAI announced at the 9/20 Shinkiba event that she will be leaving the promotion after the 10/13 Korakuen show. >Since the group’s launch in May of last year, MIRAI has been active both in and out of the ring, but she struggled on the singles front, unable to secure belts or titles. She challenged for the World Championship in May (champion: Hayashishita Utami) but was defeated, and even with “strong resolve” heading into the singles league “DREAM STAR GP2025,” she was eliminated from her block before the final match. Following her 9/14 Korakuen match, MIRAI tearfully said, “I want to face myself one more time.” >A week later, MIRAI explained, “There are things I’ve wanted to do but haven’t, things I’ve wanted but gave up on… I started to feel maybe I could make them come true again. I thought maybe it’s okay to have some time away from Ogawa-san and experience pro wrestling on my own. I also wonder how far I can go myself. So, MIRAI will leave Ogawa-san’s side. I will leave Marigold.”
Seri vs Mayu at the 10/13 Korakuenhttps://x.com/DSF_Marigold/status/1969261918771954056
>>18853335>Regarding those “things I’ve wanted to do but haven’t,” MIRAI said, “I’ll keep that to myself for now.” On the other hand, when asked, “Is there anyone you’d like to face before 10/13 Korakuen?” she replied, “I’d like to wrestle the opponents from my debut match,” expressing a desire to face Marigold’s younger generation—Minami Komomo, Yamaoka Seri, and Yamazaki Yuuka. This is expected to happen at the 10/4 Utsunomiya event. For her final Marigold match on 10/13 Korakuen, she will team with Sakurai Mai as MiraiSaku against Darkness Revolution’s Nozaki Nagisa & CHIAKI. >“I want to finish with a smile. Though I might end up crying (laughs). With five shows left, I want to fight to the end in a way that’s true to myself.” >9/21 Numazu, 9/23 Osaka, 10/4 Utsunomiya, 10/11 Osaka, 10/13 Korakuen Hall. Only five matches remain to see “Marigold’s MIRAI.” A talent capable of challenging for the group’s top prize, the Marigold World Championship, she has also devoted herself to guiding the next generation. As Marigold enters its second year, what effect will MIRAI’s departure have? And where will MIRAI go next?https://x.com/shupromobile/status/1969261591775313944
My thoughts right now are with the girls who are unable to escape like Mirai.

Now that’s a shoot Heel mirai moment
>That's okay! She'll be back. Another Quaalude, she'll love me in the morning.
>>18853335>things I’ve wanted but gave up onTJPW got her back
>>18853363I'm guessing with both of them in the ring after the match they'll get messages from certain WWE players...
thunder rock vs yuzuki & seri is going to be huge
Mirai just seems to move promotions regularly, she's like a butterfly, just let her do her thing
>>18853379feel like if anyone was coming he would have announced it to move tickets. only 2 weeks from korakuen to ryogoku isn't much time
>>18853410He needs something in the pocket to change the news cycle

>Regarding MIRAI's departure, Representative Rossy Ogawa said, Some leave, and some come. It's unfortunate, but we want to send her off in a good way." Furthermore, "Maki Itoh won't be coming to us. Just to be clear."
No one thought Maki Ito would go to Marigot, so what are you talking about?
>>18853500Maybe a reporter asked?
MIRAI'S last match is with Darkness Revolution. This could be a swerve.
>>18853516That they had her doing promo work a couple of days ago on radio makes me think this could be a work

Nobita was never a part of any clique in Stardom. Rossy has always been very good to her. She got to wear the Cinderella dress and got a White belt reign. I can't see her moving back there.
Hope she goes to strong style

>Women’s pro wrestling group “Marigold”’s MIRAI (25) announced she will leave the promotion after the October 13 Korakuen Hall event in Tokyo.>At the September 20 Shinkiba 1st RING show, she teamed with World Champion Hayashishita Utami against Aono Miku & Sakurai Mai. When MIRAI squared off with Sakurai, they engaged in a fierce back-and-forth exchange. After trading elbows, MIRAI delivered a superplex brainbuster that slammed Sakurai to the mat.>With less than two minutes remaining, the match heated up even further. After taking a Glorious Driver from Sakurai, MIRAI fought back with a backdrop. The bout ended when both hit elbows simultaneously and the bell rang for a 15-minute time-limit draw.>After the match, MIRAI took the mic: “What an amazing lineup! Two singles champions, and congratulations to Aono Miku for winning the Dream Star GP… I entered the recent Dream Star with resolve, but I couldn’t get results. I faced myself one more time and found the answer. On October 13, MIRAI will leave Marigold!” She shocked the crowd with her announcement.>MIRAI entered KAIENTAI DOJO in April 2018. In April 2019 she transferred to Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling, debuting the following May under the ring name Maiumi Mirai. In January 2022 she moved to Stardom, where she won the “Cinderella Tournament” twice in a row and captured the Wonder Championship in July 2023. After leaving Stardom in March 2024, she joined Marigold’s launch, where she, alongside Sakurai, captured the Twin Star Championship and helped drive the promotion as a central figure.
bad timing
>>18853891>“Rossy Ogawa has supported me since my previous promotion. Coming to Marigold, I got to have the hometown return match I always wanted, run wrestling classes, and be part of so many cards. I’ve met wonderful teammates and fans, but after reflecting on myself, I want to test my own strength instead of continuing to rely on Rossy Ogawa. MIRAI will leave his side.”>MIRAI then revealed one last wish for her time in Marigold: “I’ve been entrusted with being the debut opponent for many wrestlers here, so I want to wrestle Yuuka Yamazaki, Yamaoka Seri, and Minami Komomo.” Approaching her tag partner Sakurai, she added, “I’d like you to stand beside me one last time—what do you say?” Immediately, Darkness Revolution’s Nozaki Nagisa & CHIAKI stepped forward as their opponents, and both MIRAI and Sakurai accepted.>Finally, MIRAI declared, “From here on, I’ll do my best to deliver matches filled with spirit that give courage and energy to everyone. Please continue to support me.” She then left the ring.https://x.com/tospo_prores/status/1969278174845358394
>>18853900>but after reflecting on myself, I want to test my own strength instead of continuing to rely on Rossy Ogawa. MIRAI will leave his siderespectable and understandable reason
>Marigold Shinkiba, the main event was closed by Victoria Yuzuki and Seirei Yamaoka. It feels like the "future" is getting closer and closer. Yamaoka says they are rivals, but when they team up, there's a strong, fiery connection. After the match, a challenge was declared for Mayu Iwatani's Super Flyweight title. October 13 at Korakuen.>#pw_mghttps://x.com/Hassy0924/status/1969280709844947268
>Listening to MIRAI's words about leaving the group,Utami Hayashi's expression. Still, she wants to send her off warmly. MIRAI also says, "They say the ring is connected." Utami comments that the back-and-forth with Mirai Aono, whom she will face in a title match, is very fun and rewarding. >#pw_mghttps://x.com/Hassy0924/status/1969279521602871661
https://x.com/ri_yonn1020/status/1969281712443052317RYOKO SAKIMURA FROM THE TOP ROPE
I think MIRAI saw her window to become world champ was that one year before Mayu got there. Now Miku will win the belt, hold it for at a minimum half a year, then Mayu will win it. MIRAI will be likely a successful defense for both but no space for her own title reign unless she wants to take chance waiting 2 years. So the most she could hope for is white belt, which she'd probably win but it's still secondary. And even that scene is crowded if Rossy is serious about moving Yuzuki up quickly. She doesn't want to be in the situation Momo got stuck in in Stardom.
>>18854024>Miku with the belt.DIRE.
>>18854052she moves tons of merch for some reason and that is all rossy cares about
>>18854024That or she knows that her future is being in a heel group elevating Yuzuki, Kouki, Seri and jobbing in the process. Being in the darkness revo is a career dead end
>>18854024we'll probably never know the full story, but it's possible MIRAI wanted to help Rossy out with Marigold for a while to get that going then move on when she felt the time was right
>>18853866it was based
Utami winning is massively more likely now, Rossy will want to keep his biggest stars happy
remember she had the penguin on her head that time
Mayu Iwatani praised her tag team partner Momoka Minami, saying, “Her potential is incredible. She moves with instinct. If she keeps going like this, she’ll become something extraordinary.” There’s definitely a certain vibe as a team with these two. When challenged by Seirei Yamaoka, she said, “It’s true, I lost to her at 5STAR,” causing everyone in the venue to burst out laughing.
>>18854190Utami isn't a self-mark like that. She'll have held the belt for 10 months when she loses to Miku and that's a long enough reign.
>>18854190Fraid she's leaving too
>>18854169it was shit

The greatest and only heel faction in Marigold
>>18854285Kek true
I remember last year miku had the most votes in the roster for some mag vote which is a surprise as far as picture and signing I would have thought mirai and Utami would do more than her

I always got the impression Mirai was looking for something bigger than what she could get out of Japanese wrestling. (Like a run in WWE or something) But maybe she really is just a self mark who wants to be world champ. Shame to see her go though.
Mask fiesta news, kinda sucks that we wont see miratauros againhttps://x.com/DSF_Marigold/status/1969312501620772966
Mirai truly is the Andrade of the golden fields
>“At today's Shin-Kiba show, MIRAI announced her departure from Marigold. We had numerous discussions with her, but ultimately, we decided to respect MIRAI’s wishes and allow her to leave. Since this was her choice, our role will now be to watch over her, and I look forward to her future activities. Any promotion faces as many goodbyes as there are new members. That is the fate of running a promotion. Every promotion faces internal conflicts. There is happy news and sad news; I ask that the fans share in all of it with us, as part of pro-wrestling.”
>>18855046sad news indeed

I like Mirai but I've never gotten invested in her as a wrestler

love the ACE
Serious question for Mirai's future, how will she get a sustained push anywhere going forward, now that she has a reputation for leaving promotions unexpectedly every couple of years? Leaving 3 major promotions in 4 years is pretty crazy, so who will invest the time into her now with the risk she will jump early?
Mirai is simply not important enough to jump ship every 2 years
