Uh oh stinky
>aew is getting cancelledKWAB
>>18879616Don’t believe this when wbd owns a stake in aew
>>18879642They can still own a stake without having it on their networks where it's actively harming them and pissing away money
On tkBenched Britt baker one of their biggest draws They can survive if Amazon or fox picks them for cheap but once mjf leaves I’m done They won’t be on warner that’s gauranteed- warner wanted .18 now in two years lots can change w the tv landscape- They aren’t dead yet but let’s see
>>18879616Big problem AEW has is WWE having deals with every network
>>18879649>Britt baker one of their biggest draws
>>18879649>or foxThey already tried that with Shockwave last year but Fox wasn't impressed with the ratings. Fast forward to now and not a fucking chance
>>18879657Fox Amazon Apple TV Still exist but Fromm Sean’s article looks likely they will pitch to Amazon as Amazon already has ppvs- aew survived with 50 milly a year so all aew needs is 50 milly to go backwards.Aews strength has to be resigning home grown talents- they are about to lose Britt baker and if mjf or Kenny leave yikes They aren’t dead yet but Warner wanted top 5 with atleast .18 demo
>>18879676Fox will bid because dynamite still gets you top 6 now a top 6 on free cable is milly
>>18879688Britt Baker is not a big loss. I agree about Kenny and MJF though losing them would be a big blow.
>>18879696 Britt baker gets you a strong demoA lot can change 1. Highly unlikely grant case2. Next year predicted stock market crash will efffect tko and releases will be likely 3 the landscape of streaming taking over and Apple TV and Amazon tv being bidders 4 worse thing to do is go on YouTube aew won’t hit ishowspeed numbers and it’s better to go to a app like roh streaming network
>>18879694If Fox wasn't thrilled with Smackdown's numbers by the end of things then I still heavily doubt this. Look at what AEW would be selling to them. A show that can't even regularly get 600k a week anymore. There's too much money in those networks to risk on a show that's already doing that poorly. It's not even just that those are the numbers but that there's years of data that show those numbers steadily declining as well
>>18879782But they wouldn’t be paying aew wwe numbers they can easily pay them 35 to 40 it’s up to aew. Right now aew won’t have leverage it will likely mean less ppvs and more ppv shows like how it was before. Nobody will pay aew 170 but 50 million a year is likely- for a network like fox they can present 5 ppvs free to air with nfl lead ins. It can work, Tony’s not the guy who will get the deal it’s shad khan. Still not dead yet but close
>>18879843Yeah but it would still be on the same network going out to the same number of households. That would be a complete waste of their time. Just because it's cheap doesn't make it worth picking up. Think of how many shows out there would undercut their own value if it meant being able to land a spot on Fox. That's not how it works. It has to be able to make money for them too which AEW is in no way doint
>YouTubeDARK CHADSWE'RE COMING HOME
>>18879843if they didn't want the sanitized product wwe was they're not going to want all the swearing and blood and all the other corny shit
>>18879889This is another big thing a lot of people overlook when it comes to these talks. We don't really bat an eye to it because it's wrestling and we're all used to it, but AEW does themselves no favors in making their product marketable to the average household
Not dead yet Shad khan is a business man and we shall seeFor mePersonally triple hs ego comments on how everyone wants to be part of wwe is scary for aew. If Kenny or mjf leave it’s likely over for aew. Kenny I don’t know but mjf will be offered the gold and a Jewish flag. Tko will pay him big and he will be enticed and me personally I will be done wrestling because aew will just be training ground for wwe. What made aew special was it stood on its own feet but Cody fked it up and Tony’s ego It’s likely over and that’s why I’m learning to trade so I can make money and fuck zoomer girls
>>18879616>Netflix LOL. God.
>>18879710Grifters predict the stock market is going to crash every year.
>>18879616I can't imagine other companies are as retarded as WBD, they will look at AEW's numbers and realize it isn't worth it, YouTubers have a bigger audience than AEW
No slidey
Remember when they were going to get a show on Fox?
>>18880515slopwave? precancelled if memory serves
Lol yeah this does not bode well
>>18880515they went from talking about having a 4th show to soon having no shows
Is it over, for real?
>>18879616"Dynamite on YouTube" hahahaha
>>18879616NOOOOOOO
>they are free to negotiate with other partners>absolutely zero chatter whatsoever about them engaging in new dealsGrim
>>18881098I mean it was just a year ago that they were in a renegotiation year with WBD and had the chance to look around at outside offers. One was from the CW. In a KWABOTY move Tony turned it down. Another was Tubi. Which WWE also took after Tony turned it down. Anyone left out there who would've been interested he had already turned down and is now in business with WWE. What 'other partners' are there even left for them to engage with? They couldn't even keep their toy company's deal going
Once AEW goes out of business you guys can spend time with your senpai... oh right of course, you can hang out with your frie... yeah I forgot. Um, you can concentrate on your care... haha sorry couldn't resist. You will ack within two weeks of a world without AEW because cry screaming about its existence is all you have.
>>18881438no one's life revolves more around AEW than an edrone
>>18881377we're supposed to look at this, and say AEW can do no wrong and will be here forever even if WBD dumps them and they get kicked off TVbut we're supposed to look at WWE signing new billion dollar deals, that are just now starting in 2025, and say it's fumble after fumble
>>18881438
Is it true that AEW is getting cancelled just like god cancelled roverts legs?
>>18882490It would appear so
>>18882490Was just confirmed on the podcast, as well
>>18883631Which one?
>>18880748Afraid so
>>18880134>AEW's numbers*cable's numbers
>>18879668She draws plenty in the big yellowy demo
>>18885372Cable isn't about ranking or ongoing cord-cutting, it's about redundancy. If there's a racing league drawing 2 million viewers, and another league drawing 1 million viewers, and they have almost a complete overlap of fans, then the 1 million viewer league is never going to be paid like a "1 million viewer, #1 ranked show" should be paid. That's the position Dynamite/Collision find themselves in with Smackdown back on cable - with their usual rating Ski Slope pattern, showing 100-150k viewers per show waking up from their naps and turning the channel - it makes it insanely difficult to isolate the intrinsic value of AEW programming. And the swearing, blading, blood everywhere stuff makes it to where AEW can never have a home on broadcast television.
>>18879688>FoxFox is already in a new media agreement with WWE, as they air Evolve on their free Tubi network, and it seems like people keep forgetting this>>18879710>Next year predicted stock market crashEvery year they predict the stock market will crash and it never does unless a pandemic or recession hits
>>18879616>youtube>netflix>amazonAEW is gonna get banished to Pluto TV, buried under the straight to DVD movies and replays of old sitcoms
