Today marks one year since I started watching wrestling again (after having watched for a couple years when I was a kid back in 2006ish).here are some of my thoughts on storylines, character, ect as a relative newcomer.>pic relatedmy initial ranking made back in early oct 2024>September 2024-The first episode of Raw I watched was main evented by Jey and Bron in an intercontinental championship match. It seems most people didn't/don't like Jey, but since he played such a big role in my wrestling fandom I will always be a little more favorable of him (but i was still rooting for Bron, even back then-The Miz (dimes), who I remember fondly from the mid 2000s, betrayed R-Truth and joined (dimeless) Kross' stable, which was then derailed by (dimeless) howdyslop. unfortunate -There was a big Last Monster Standing match between Bronson and Strowman. Nothing much to say about the match, but it's interesting to see how quickly careers can diverge>October 2024-Rhea and Tiffy teamed up for a tagteam match and I am still wondering how we didn't ever get a Freaky Fridayesque GothTiffy/BimboRhea moment-I didn't have Peacock yet, so I didnt get to see the Dominic in the Cage match between Rhea and Liv, or the toolbox match between Punk and Drew-I think the Schizo Kevin Owens story began around this point. I miss KO>November 2024-Tensions start within the New Day and their heel turn begins. Absolute travesty how dumb it turned out-War Games was pretty good. Bronson's tsunami from the cage was cool, but i never cared/ don't care/ will never care about coconut community theater. Those horrendous chair shots from Nia Jax will always be funny-shinsuke v knight slop for the US title-oh yeah, and Chase U ended (I never really watched NXT, but i thought this gimmick was dumb)
>solo>dimeless
terrible taste, bet you're brown
>December 2024-I feel like I kinda fell out a little with the holiday season. But Chelsea winning the US title and the bracket for the women's intercontinental were fun times-KO vs Cody feud started with the Winged Eagle>January 2025-hogan gets a massive pop at the netflix premier. Rhea win back her title, and Roman beat Fatu in what was supposed to be the end of the bloodline story>JD Mcdonough broke his neck vs the War Raiders. At the time I was expecting him to get a huge push when he returned from injury, but he's seemed to settle right back into his role as a background player-And of course I skipped the episode of Smackdown when Tiffy cashed in. I still think she should have done it at War Games>Feb 2025-For whatever reason, Gunther started feuding with Otis and Tozawa. They were pretty funny matches too-Dwayne wants Cody's soul-Cody piledrives his schizophrenic friend through a ladder and nearly kills him. I always thought this could've set up a heel turn>pic relatedmy rankings around 4 months in. A bit before Wrestlemania
and of course I forgot all about the Royal Rumble, so here's my thoughts: Men's was good from what I remember, i kinda liked Jey and it was kind of hilarious kicking of Raw with 10 minutes of YEET for the following 2 months. Oh yeah and Joe Hendry went totally over my head because i had no idea who he wasWomen's was fine. Since I didn't know Charlotte I didn't hate the result as much as others. But it definitely rubbed me the wrong was to see this apparent nobody waltz in and win for no reasonanyway, back to the timeline:>March 2025-Cena turned heel. Holy shit, this is gonna be huge. I cannot wait to see how wild this get- "YOU PEOPLE ARE IN A TOXIC RELATIONSHIP"-I forgot the mention the dangers of the NXT parking lot. After Jade was hit by a car, she makes the huge comeback at Elimination Chamber to heem Naomi-The best gimmick in the business begins: El Grande Americano>April 2025-Iyo v Rhea v Bianca in the Women's match of the year--Gunther gives the most pathetic tap-out of all time-hendry v orton was fun, the intercontinental Fatal 4 Way was good-Despite only having watched wrestling for a few months at this point, and having no idea about the relationships between Roman/Punk and Heymen, the betrayal to give Rollins the win was awesome -Travis Scott BLOWS THE ROOT OFF VEGAS in a totally epic wrestlmania moment that will go down in history as the best twist ever>May 2025-Gunther kills Pat Mcafee (THANK YOU GUNTHER)-El Grande begins to side with the Judgement Day, cena turns on truth, potato community theater beings marking the start of 3 months of Becky vs Lyra slop (i really was optimistic for Lyra but this completely killed her)-ARE YOU KIDDING ME? HOW DO YOU END A CAGEMATCH BY JUST WALKING OUT THE DAMN DOOR
here is my list
>June 2025-Not really a specific though, but the tag team divisions for both shows are ass-The MITB matches were great. As a complete nobody, I was expecting nothing out of Andrade, but he was great in this match. HE has a couple cool spots, including one with EGA that should've ended the match-Cena cuts his pipebomb on KWABOTY candidate CM Punk>July-not much that i really remember from this month-goldberg retired, but again i didn't really care about him as a new fan-Naomi cashed in for her pregnancy belt>August 2025-Cena's amazing heel run ends and Lesnar returns-The Rollins fake injury worked everyone, stop lying to yourself-Based LOGOD put an end to Jelly Roll slop>pic relatedmy final rankingsAnd that's it. Sorry to interrupt your waifu threads to talk about wrestling. I'm gonna go back to gooning now
>>18890826>>18891084>SnowbunniesSup pajeet tranny
damn. im now realizing that I don't even like most of the niggas on tv
I watched from 97-08ish. Started watching PPVs in 24, and watching PPVs and Raw weekly this year since it moved to Netflix until football started.
>>18891726Cole needs to hang it up honestly. he's been doing commentary for longer than I've been alive and he still gets the names of moves wrong. I remember at wrestle mania he called a 450 as a shooting star
>everyone likes ko>everyone hates samithis is a very interesting discovery
>>18891755Cole legitimately detracts from the show with how obnoxious and annoying he is. Like during Liv or Dom matches he would spend half the match just yelling at whichever one of the pair was outside the ring asking them inane questions, or repeating the same shitty insults. Its not only annoying, but it serves no fucking purpose because we as viewers can't hear how, or if they even respond to him, so its just listening to this almost 60 year old faggot insult talent to try to get himself over.
>everyone recognizes Liv as a top draw
>>18890713Interesting
>>18890713Hmmm
The only dimes I see there are Dom, Drew and Logan
>>18890713Thank you for the high effort thread
>>18892863E-tards are mostly brown these days so that is not a surprise. 2025 has been way better for women's wrestling than 2024 thanks in part to her getting demoted and then injuredKWAB
>>18894235>demoted>was feuding with Iyo, Kairi, and Nikki Bella>in storylines with Roxanne, Dom, and Finn>was shown in more segments than anyone else on Rawweird way to demote someone
>>18894282Yes the midcard is a demotion. Iyo moved up when she won the title started feuding with Rhea.>Nikki BellaNo one gives a shit about this bitch except Total Divas watchers. If people thought Becky/Nikki was bad, I cannot imagine how much worse Nikki/Liv would have been kek. Probably Nia/Liv levels of bad.
Why do trannies think people care about their ratings? Go back to letterboxd
>>18890713>Today marks one year since I started watching wrestling again>wrestling >WWE kek
>>18890713Yowza
>>18894235>literal main character of Raw>demoted
>>18894434Yea he needs to get into some AAA, NXT, and maybe a little TNA too
>>18896731>literal main character of RawIf that is any woman it is Rhea or Becky
>>18890824this
As someone who's been watching since 2003 or so on and off this is my rankings. I barely watch the weekly shows, and I watch maybe 3-5 PLEs a year. Certain people's rankings like Shinsuke are from when I used to watch, I can't even recall seeing him in years. But I used to really like him.
>>18896871Becky is unfortunately the current main character of Raw, but pre injury it was clearly Liv. I mean just look at her 2025>key part of the Judgement day breakup angle>key part of the Dom storyline>held the tag belts and was getting involved in a feud with the Kabuki's over them>was challenging for the women's title>was a secondary part of the Jade/Bianca/Naomi storyline>was also getting into a feud with the Bella girlEvery Raw episode had, between backstage segments, promos, matches, or valeting, at minimum 25-30 minutes devoted to whatever Liv Morgan was doing on every show
