Dolph's career in general has a very strange curvature to it, and I wouldn't be surprised if he got hit with Vince's erratic script rewriting practices the hardest. Lots of moments where it seemed like his character was going somewhere, then he'd just disappear for a few weeks and end up doing something random on TV.
