This one run ruined heel turns forever, in all companies.

Why?
>>
>>18913900
Why do you mean why, haven't you watched wrestling in the past ten years? Every time someone turns heel they have to get serious and stoical and occasionally wear a suit too.
>>
every single wrestling company copied him he knew he had gold here and WWE tried so hard to replicate this with Jack Swagger and KO but it never worked again

Stop fucking whining pigvert. Jesus.
>>
>>18913813
His most brilliant heel turn was when he got the crowd to boo him just by smiling and saying nothing at all. That shit was genius desu.
>>
>>18913813
It was also the last time Jericho was dimes
>>
>>18913916
that barely ever happens, wtf are you on about
>>

>Chris Jericho invented turning heel and wearing suits at the same
Unironically kill yourself. Just do it.

>haven't you watched wrestling in the past ten years? Every time someone turns heel they have to get serious and stoical and occasionally wear a suit too.
*where's a suit in you're path* is an old heel meme. It's an item of clothing the wrestler already has in their size and it completely removes them from the attire that fans are used to seeing them wear.
>>
>>18913947
I loved that shit too, nobody knew what the fuck was happening. and his feud with punk was great
>>
>>18913988
Retard, you know what I'm talking about. It's not just the suit, it's the demeanor as well, they turn heel and all of a sudden they're serious wrestlers now
>>
>>18913994
Don't get angry that you've made up this fiction in your head that's easily disproven. Growing up is a long path, try not to deviate from it.

Before turning heel
>>
>>18914005

He had the exact same character wearing a suit as he did in 1999
>>
>>18913916
Ric flair, the ultimate wrestling heel spent his entire career wearing suits.
>>
>>18913918
Swagger regressed with every change he made and every new show he went onto. WWECW Swagger was a decent, annoying hotshot heel, then he went to Raw and became bargain bin Angle, which somehow won him MITB where he proceeded to play the dumb stoic character with long winded promos that just made more people pay attention to his speech impediment, then there was the Swagger Soaring Eagle, and then Michael Cole, and so on until having the most embarrassing gimmick possible, a vanilla giant that literally just stands in the ring and doesn't speak. Jesus.
>>
>>18914080
Ric Flair was never a serious stoic wrestler, learn to read
>>
>>18914063
Nah heel Triple H in the Attitude Era was more juvenile. Aside for like Katie Vick post attitude era heel HHH wasn’t that much
>>
>>18913813
But Cena went heel just this year. He never wore a suit and it was still mediocre.
>>
>>18913988
It wasn't even the first time he did that. He wore suits in ECW while praising Tommy Dreamer's amateur wrestling skills. It was great.

A literal trope was born from this
If there's a tag team, people will always say "So who's the Michaels and who's the Jannetty"
>>
It wasn't about him just wearing a suit. His entire character did a complete 180 and he just nailed the character extremely well and it was gigadimes. It was the best execution of that character that was ever done. The crowd fell for everything he did hook line and sinker and he was getting vickie guerrero level heat just from character work alone, he and cena were easily getting the biggest reactions of the show every week
>>
>>18913900
It was so good that everyone tried to copy it and failed miserably.
>>
Jericho getting his ass beat to the point that Shawn was forced to stop, getting added into the five-man match anyway, and worming his way out with the title was fucking amazing heel work.

2008 in retrospect is a really good year for WWE, it's a shame that PG hit right there because stories like Jericho vs Shawn, Edge vs Taker needed some blood.
>>
OP is getting his cheeks clapped in this thread kek
>>
>>18913813
Yes, it was his best run in professional wrestling in my opinion. He was the top heel in WWE, and he drew so much heat with that gimmick he was even beating up female fans in parking lots.

It was honestly amazing to watch live. The crowd fucking flipped on him, I really think only Jerricho could have pulled something like that off.
>>
>>18913916
I haven't seen a turn like this but also I don't watch e-slop
>>
>>18915953
Still mad that Sheamus won the Rumble that year.
>>
>>18913982
Why do retards get filtered by the idea that you be the most influential in something without inventing it?
