>yeah so I'm gonna have a gay guy gimmick where I get to toss women around and strip them, I'll have a bunch of spots where I do a power move with my face shoved in a woman's snatch and then I'll act like I don't like it, this will totally make TNA compete with the WWE trust me bro
how the fuck did this company survive more than two decades

sounds based though

You’re clearly not understanding how incredibly based early TNA was.

I'm not saying it wasn't based, but how did it ever draw enough dimes to survive during the early NWA/TNA days?
Like who were the stars, was Jeff Jarrett really that big of a draw(he's usually the lowlight in the episodes I've been watching considering he's like a worse steve austin) or was it just people coming off the WCW/WWE watching. The one part I notice the crowds going apeshit for are the xdivision guys and almost any AJ match because they're very enjoyable spotfests
Surely the TNA part(which I admit they lived up too pretty well) in the backstage promos/cage dancers didn't set them apart from the WWE enough. But who knows I just got to vince russo asking athena to show the goods and then choking her when she didn't so maybe the real T&A's about to show.
