Does anyone miss the Traditional survivor series elimination matches?Do you miss those matches, or is it just me?
>>19008672they just did them on nxt bud
>>19008672I definitely don't think there needs to be two war games matches every single year.
>>19008672I do miss 'em, wargames is dimes but only when it's relevant to a story, like hell in a cell. the traditional tag match was pretty neat and didn't require a story to make sense
>>19008672I miss them but most in-part because WarGames has been over-exposed. Last year would've been a good year to return to them since Aldis and Pierce were getting into their pissing contest, WarGames should be like Hell in a Cell and used sparingly and for blood feuds.
>>19008699>>19008724I heard Sam Roberts make the point that that tickets for events go on sale months in advance, and you have to account for two rings in the floor plans, so you need to plan for war games months in advance, and then when tickets go on sale, even if war games hasn't officially been announced, everyone would know when they buy tickets an see there will be two rings. So it's hard to build up to a story and then say "In two weeks, WAR GAMES!"
>>19008672I miss a card of 8 man elimination tags where the teams had names and themes. They made a team of "The Modern Day Warrior" Kerry Von Erich, the Road Warriors, and the captain was the Ultimate Warrior. That's still brilliant.
>>19008672They're so much better than War Games for one clear reason; variety. A Survivor Series match can have different kinds of psychology, it can be a one sided ass kicking for one team, it could be a big comeback for the good guys, it could be a close back and forth affair, there could be a surprise early elimination, you can go buck wild with the booking.War Games is... the same match. Every time. Two people start, one person comes in and their team gets advantage, another comes in and the odds are evened, and then we rinse and repeat for fifteen minutes... nothing of consequence can happen until everybody's in the ring. It's very dull despite the car crash brawling happening inside. It's the eliminations in the Series match, they really make the difference. Keeps the match engaging from start to finish, instead of the "waiting" games where it's the same dynamic every match.
>>19008774I miss that too. when i think of survivor series, thats the kind of match i immediately think of. I don't know why they keep trying to combine survivor series and wargames because theyre two totally different match types.
